  • Hi my name is Hazel, i am choosing this diet after finding more restrictive diets too much for me, i have Chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis and am recovering from breast cancer (looks bad written down, lol) I am always tired, and have eaten very badly since my chemo and other treatments, however i found a week on this regime has already made my head clearer. I haven’t weighed myself, i have taken my waist measurement, and it should be half of my height, so according to my waist measurement i am a giant lol!! I am using this measurement as my base line. I eat low carb as much as possible, and am piling on the veg and protein on non fasting days, looking forward to seeing results, and following other posts who have had success x

    Hi Hazel,
It’s one week since you posted. How are you going now?

I joined the Forum today and was interested in your post title because I today I was reading Michael’s paragraphs on IGF-1 and the effect of chemo on the fast growing cancer cells.(Page 56)

I had rheumatoid arthritis many years ago and went on a major fast to deal with it. It totally took care of the arthritis. I still have some swollen finger joints to prove I had it, but it has gone. Forever.

I’m sure this is going to help you stay cancer-free and when you get to the weight you want to be you’ll feel great.

From time to time I need to pull my weight into shape but I’m principally adopting the 5:2 strategy for ongoing health. Keeping all the diseases at bay.
