  • Hello, everyone!

    I am a newbie here and will be starting this journey tomorrow! I am 5’9”, 285lbs. My TDEE is 2884 and my BMR is 2097.

    I know that on fasting days I need to be eating less than 2884 but what exactly is the BMR for??

    For information. It is not necessary to know your BMR to do 5:2.

    You don’t want to go below your BMR in daily calories. Eat between 2097 and 2884 calories a day.

    Your TDEE seems reasonable to me if you are in your 40s and even lightly active.
