    I will be starting the fasting diet on August 1st. I wondered if anyone here has tried complete 24hr fasting rather than 500/600 calories two days a week?

    Looking forward to using this forum for support, encouragement & ideas.

    Hi Drodbar – if you look through the (now ridiculous number of) topics there are a lot devoted to total fasting – try “Is eating while fasting necessary” “Considering alternative plan – zero-calorie true 24-hr fast” “No food on fasting days” and lots of other topics.

    My 2 fast days are water only – from after dinner on day 1 to lunch on day 3 – and I go to the gym every morning (crosstrain 60 minutes), that works for me
    I find eating just stimulates the taste buds and I get hungrier (greedier?)
    On fast days I cook dinner for my husband and he has his dinner and wine and I drink water – 16 kg since late January
    But others need the 500 calories, which is fine – ITS JUST WHAT WORKS FOR YOU
