My start as I mean to go on!

    This is my first fast day.

    I went to work semi-prepared with the idea of porridge for breakfast (I start work early so I eat there) some chopped veg, cherry toms and Waitrose low fat cuppa soup (64 cals). Drinking hot water with fresh lemon throughout the morning helped with mid-morning hunger. All going to plan, but this afternoon felt quite tired, so have treated myself to a white coffee which has done the trick. Dinner is going to be Quorn fillets with some stir fry vegetables, just hoping I don’t go over my 500 calories and have some spare for a low calorie hot chocolate to end the day – let’s see…

    My partner is also doing his first fast day, not sure how he has managed, but know he will try and stick to it. I have a few days to prepare better for our meals before our next fast day so will be using the recipe ideas.

    Good work – I too am on my first day fasting, but as yet have only had one coffee and nothing to eat… I am so hungry I think I could eat my pen!

    Great news Oddsocks85,

    First day was always going to be difficult but nice to know someone else out there is trying today. Stick with it, hopefully you have something nice to eat planned for the rest of the day, not sure what the calories are for a pen! Have some water if you are hungry I find it really helps.
