Hi I’m Dee this is my first day, I would love some guidance I only eat 600-700 calories a day anyway and no weight loss will this work

Hi dee i,m lorri. I started the fast diet on 1st jan and after my 1st fast day i weighed myself and lost 2lbs already. I have eaten less than 1000 calories a day with no weight loss for ages so this has pleased me tremendously. I think if you fast 2 days a week and eat well and sensibly on the others it could work. I bought the book last week and read it in under 2 days it was so informative and encouraging. Good luck and hope it works for you too.
Hi Dee, I’m Sally and like you have decided to get positive for the new year. Knowing this website is available to keep track of things is great but knowing there are others you can communicate with for tips and such will be an immense help….I won’t feel that I’m on my own on my quest to lose weight. I did my first fast yesterday – nothing until 2pm when I had a cheese salad and then vegetables for early evening meal. All went very well, quite a few tummy rumbles in the evening and I didn’t feel faint or hungry. In the early hours of this morning I was wide awake and just couldn’t get back to sleep until I drank a couple of glasses of water. Yes, I weighed myself (I think most people do after a fasting day) and just over 2lbs lost. Eating sensibly today – bacon and scrambled egg with mushrooms and chicken and vegetables this evening (plus home made apple cake at tea time) and hoping to keep within my TDEE. Next fast day will probably be on Tuesday. Early days, but taking it one day at a time and not thinking too much about it.

Started today and really have not once even felt hungry. I am keeping a close eye on my Kcal intake and planned it well last night before starting this morning. When i woke up this morning, i immediately had a class of ice cold water and a cup of tea. Breakfast was a Futurelife Zero Smoothie (with skimmed milk and water). At lunch i had some celery and carrot soup and tonight only a green salad (all still under 500kcal). I have really been struggling to loose weight after having my daughter almost 4 years ago and starting today i have 10kg’s that i need to loose. Will keep you posted on progress. Reading through each post i know i am not alone and this will motivate me even more.

Did my first fast day yesterday . Slight struggle but not all bad, keeping away from the scales. I generally find that measurements are a better way to gauge my progress
Work mates have started the 10 000 step challenge . Managed my 10000 steps and hope to do the same today.
Feel pretty good today and did a HIIT on the rower for 8 mins in total …not great but its a start.
On leave at the moment so I am keeping busy so I don’t go to the fridge.
I did my first Monday yesterday – it was rockier than almost any other fasting day I’ve done before (have done a number of 1 day fasts over the past 4 years) and I was both perplexed and, in a way, amused to see that I had actually gained weight.
Mind you, I don’t normally eat enough salad without dressing or cooked broccoli to feed 3 people – maybe that has something to do with it.
This morning as I headed downstairs it wasn’t the cookie manger scene which can now be eaten up and I was drooling at yesterday, nor was it the 3 boxes of chocolates we were given at Christmas which caught my eye so often on my way to get a glass of water, nor was it the cinnamon roll (monthly treat) which is my (unhealthy) breakfast this morning which I reached for …. it was the grapes. 4 green grapes. Yummy. Then my spiced coffee with milk. Although now I’m looking forward to the cinnamon roll. 🙂
My first day was yesterday and I had three LighterLife Foodpacks. Easier to control portions etc. Weighed myself this morning – lost 4lbs. I know that it is mainly water and reaction to all the over indulgence of the last two weeks – but encouraging all the same. Will try to do three days this week to kick start things. 4 down 14 to go. It can be done!!!!!! And has to be in time for my 60th birthday in June! Keep positive everyone. I did the Fast Diet a year ago and lost a stone in a month so I know it works – I just should have kept it up!!

Today is my first fasting day, again. I did the Fast Diet last Spring and lost 7 lbs in a few weeks so yes it does work IF you apply yourself. I dabbled in and out of the FD most of 2014 but now it’s now becoming where I have to do something about it and STICK with it in losing those 2+ stone that’s been dogging me for years.
My sleeping and health is starting to suffer; my left arm falls asleep when I try to lie on that side because, I believe, of the extra fat squishing my arm. I try to then sleep on my back, well then my husband nudges me and says I’m snoring! Humph….he should talk…LOL!!! I haven’t walked routinely or done any toning exercises for about 3 months, I feel sluggish now.
I enjoyed and looked forward to my fast days before and looking forward to it again. Today is tea, water, salad, chicken meat (off the carcass) and my homemade leek and potato soup. YUM!
Morning all, started yesterday too like so many of you, feeling great and looking forward to my fast day tom!!!! Love this way of life, I lost weight, 21 lbs a year ago, did not make my goal weight through stress and family problems, hence put it all back and more. But for the first time in my diet history, this is the only way for me to lose weight, have found in the past a successful diet never worked once I had done it, tried them all Slimming World, Weight Watchers etc all successfully, but never had the same effect afterwards

I think you should eat more on your regular days on this meal plan, that way your metabolism gets that buzz! Mine is around 1500 – 1600 on a regular day, you can check in the tdee calculator!
I did well, but then I COULD NOT sleep. At all. I went up at 3 to drink more water and at 4 to drink some roibois, but no sleep….. Will see if this was just a first day thing!
