Our full moon is rising over the eastern hills, beautiful, floating over the clouds. It’s the same moon wherever you are. π

Good Morning from City of fairy tails π
Today isn’t going to be so hot here, I hope according to my weather app.
London btw in my view and opinion it’s filled with young and fashionable people and I see lots of healthy options to eat like juices, salads and the self serve sushi places.
I gave myself a beautiful purse as promised from a beautiful store taking advantage of the everywhere sales and tax break.
For a long time I was looking for a beautiful box and a found one and won’t forget the City – Fortnum & Mason.
Harrods it’s a joke! Sorry I won’t keep going with comments here π
Today will be going to visit a Victorian style home followed by a picnic.
Little Frankie πΌπΌπΌπΌπΌ
Barata you shocked me! I wasn’t thinking of course not about 5 months away from winter
Tonight fish and chips πππ
Talk to you later ππππ
Oh Frankie sounds gorgeous RT! By the way, sorry I keep forgetting to congratulate you on your teams magnificent victory over mine lasts weekend, you are such a gentleman you have not mentioned it! I think Hawthorn et al should be worried about the Crows, very formidable! (sorry non football folk)
Just about to have salmon and salad after a fast day. Very happy at lunch to meet up with an old friend that I inspired and she has gone on to lose 9kg in 4 weeks, another convert to 5:2, yesss!
Thanks girls. This friend I have known since I was 25 and she has seen my weight yoyo and has been very impressed that I have changed so much and am no longer struggling with weight control. She also has a very sweet tooth and chocolate addiction and only keeps her weight under reasonable control with 4 rounds of golf a week plus one hour of dog walking a day. However, like many of us, it has gotten more difficult with ‘maturity’ so she is thrilled that she now has a new tool in her toolbox! I think example is the best way, people have to see it to believe it!
Beef is the meal of choice tonight with a shed load of veg..I have mine medium rare yfee has hers Blue but will settle for rare the 2 remaining sons at home well one will not partake at all so chicken thighs for him and the other carnivore whatever is dished up to him with not a moan about anything he is the 24yo who was so badly scarred with a relationship it has made him bitter and twisted almost hateful towards girls at all but has been out on a few date nights with Korean girls strangely enough who are here working at the plant on working holiday visa but they must continue to move on after their 6 months but he seems to
Be so much more comfortable with these girls I just hope he continues to keep on keeping on and not stop thatβs is my wish for him. Sorry team I gotta bit lost there yes Nama the boys are going well the tragedy of last year with the Phil Walsh murder and losing βDangerβ to the cats where big incidents for us and we play them Saturday night. I always remember when Scott Camporelli was the care taker coach and he used a phrase which is a perfect reflection βthis team has now been galvanised together through tragedyβ The Crows been knocked out of 3 Preliminary finals in recent times so some history of falling at the last hurdle is a concern but time as it always does will tell the story. Big congratulations on your very own mentoring program what a terrific thing to be able to watch unfold LG βlifes goodβ
Peace RT
Hi Fters
Glad to catch the Oz/kiwi group before bed. Yes, Barata a beautiful full moon. I can imagine your eastern hills. For us it rose over the gentle rollings hills of Rome over olive groves.
A very good fast yesterday- too hot to eat anyway. Just broke the fast on a perfect flat peach, but my head is spinning. Pasta carbonara is on in half an hour.
It’s good to be out of France for a week. The level of sadness is high. I guess we now know that Nice is not the last attack. We live in a very isolated place and at present not much inspired to go anywhere.
Enjoy London HCB!
OH and I are celebrating 10 years together this week. It’s just a shame it’s not 40 years as it could have been.
Happy days
xx Wiwi
I wrote a long post and it has gone lol . so basically .. We had a brilliant day yesterday and though summer had arrived at last BUT most of the night right through we have had really bad thunder storms . Really quite scary when they are right above the house .
Jim is getting stronger every day and yesterday we managed out for a wee drive and some shopping . It was lovely .He was back at the vascular surgeon last week for his first ( 5 weeks ) check up and he was so pleased with his rate of recovery .
Yesterday I managed to have a good fast day and feel I am back in the swing again.
Our youngest granddaughter 22 is off to Australia in 2 weeks for a year out . We are going to miss her so much .The eldest one 26 is going to Canada with her partner as soon as all the paperwork is done . It will be sad without them but we am so proud of them .
They are having a wee celebration birthday/leaving do on the 6th and I want to be looking my best for that .
Off to tidy up . Have a great day all . xx
Happy Anniversary Wi π°

Ireland day 20 nfd Hi Coda apologies for not checking in…arrived back home yesterday never slept on the flight so severely jetlagged still…have no idea how things will go this week as I’m weighing in on a different scale….so so tired and still have to go food shopping…hoping tomorrow will be a better day it will definitely be a fast day that’s for sure….hope all is well with everyone else
Hi Fast Trackers and Hello World (You All know Who You ARE) π
Good morning HCB actually yfee prefers her steak at the very far opposite end of well done bleu so Beef steak can be cooked to a level of very rare (bleu, a cold raw center), rare, medium rare, medium, medium well done, or well done. Pittsburgh rare is charred on the outside. Beef, unlike certain other meats, does not need to be cooked through. Cupid can and should of course play its roll in a chance meeting as friend of a friend has been working very successfully over the years π Thursday fast day have a good one everyone Nicky has been MIA for a while hoping all is well.
Peace RT
Yes we have been melting into general lethargy here in the UK. Trouble is it’s so sudden. And may only last a week! I’ve been scooping bath water in buckets onto my roses and fruit trees, the ground is parched. So unusual for the UK, I was brought up with annual drought as many of you have been. But I’m not complaining, it is such a lovely change from the grey skies.
HI all,
Still at the lake and decided on a 16:8 approach while I’m here. I have to say, I’m getting better at it each day, which just proves that we don’t have to be perfect but practice improves us.
I’ve been coming to this Lake town since I was very little so there are lots of memories of ice cream and mac n cheese …..so it is one of my biggest food challenges each year. So I am profoundly flabbergasted when I say that I don’t know how it happened but I’m not craving any of that food!!!!! Crazy!
Yes, it’s been funny weather here in Cumbria these last few weeks. For the first two weeks the central heating kept coming on because it was so chilly and this last week I’ve had all the windows & doors open, have had to have a shower every morning & evening and the fans on constantly to try keep cool. Very odd!

Blonde: βWhat does IDK mean?β
Brunette: βI donβt know.β
Blonde: βOMG, nobody does!β
Why do blondes tip-toe past medicine cabinets?
So they donβt wake up the sleeping pills.
How do you keep a blonde busy?
Write βflipβ on both sides of a sheet of paper.
How do you keep a blonde in the shower all day?
Hand her a bottle of shampoo that says βlather, rinse, repeat.βWhy did the blonde get so excited about finishing a jigsaw puzzle in six months?

Itβs really the only job theyβre qualified for.

Someone told her drinks were on the house.

Why couldnβt the blonde dial 911?
She couldnβt find the eleven.
Have A Happy Weekend All You beautiful Losers π
Peace RT
LOL RT some oldies and goodies some a little too far for some (no offence taken by me btw) and at least one adapted from how to confuse a man and the round room lol.
I’m finally starting to go in the right direction again with a 1kg loss this week. Certainly gives a boost to morale but I feel the change in work role last week is making a difference for me mentally plus the visit back to my specialist last Tuesday (having lots of pain issues still) and the reassurance that this happens to a lot of people who have metal in their arms and now that it’s been over a year we can remove it all in a minor surgery with very short recovery period (2 days rest) then back to normal activities. I must admit I was wondering if I was imagining things except I get woken through the night with pain.
Wee so glad to hear your dear heart is recovering well now too. Such a relief for you both.
I see Jojo is having a great holiday π with lots of fun and sunshine π
Must run for now.
i am doing Ketone diet. This is my 9th day. i heard about this Ketone flu. well i did experienced a bit at the very beginning, say 3 or 4th day. Now i’m going through a funny time: I don’t fancy eating the high fat low carb food. The thought of olive oil and coconut oil makes me sick; since i always eat a good portion of saturated fat with good fat, pork skin, chicken skin, or / pork trotters, now the thought of all this fat is making me sick. Sometimes as soon as i finish eat my meal, i feel headache and sick. i have to drink lemon added water to stop nausea feeling. i only eat roman lettuce as carbs; coupled with nuts. i still count calories. but the weight loss is stopped. at the beginning of my Ketone diet, within 5 days, i lost 3 pounds. now i feel lethargic, only having enough energy to train a bit, and most of all, i feel dizzy after the meals. i wonder what i did wrong. My bought Ketonstix to measure my Ketone level. It turned purpple-ish color ( over 80/mml). i am made to believe i am in Ketosis. So why i still feel dizzy after meals?
Anyone knows the explanation? Thank you.
Thanks RT, glad I am a brunette!!
Animal lots of things can cause dizziness. Your blood pressure may be too low if you are not drinking enough fluids or taking in much salt. Start by changing one thing, ie keep track of your fluid/salt intake and increase it to see if this helps. The nausea could be related to the dizziness or it could be from high levels of ketones in your blood. I am not qualified to work all this out but if these effects have only started with the ketogenic diet, you need to alter something. Just make one change at a time so you can figure out what is happening. Good luck.
Thanks all. I didn’t want to post for a while as I was so very low in spirits for so long. I was lucky to be offered an opportunity with a company near the submarine base however it was not the right fit for me. They are lovely people but the work was no challenge after the manager came back from a months holiday as I’d been doing the day to day running in his absence. While he was away I was contacted about the possibility of an opportunity closer to home which I indicated I would be interested in if it came about. I was contacted again and requested to go for an interview the day after the manager returned from leave. Two weeks later I was invited for a 2nd interview (along with 3 others) and contacted the following week to be advised that I was the successful applicant and they’d like me to start 12 days later. So I gave my notice and finished up 2 weeks ago today and commenced my new position the following Monday. I certainly won’t be left looking for challenges in this role. I’m loving it and again the people are lovely π
New animal,
You haven’t done anything “wrong” as such but its going to take quite a while before you body is able to process ketones as your primary fuel source. If you have had a diet of sugar and simple carbs as your fuel source then it is unrealistic to expect that you can magically convert to ketones instantly. It has taken me a full 6-7 months before I adjusted to my water fasts. I now flip over to a ketogenic state after 24 hours. Your liver will take time to ramp up and start converting stored fats to glucose and ketones. This takes months. Your brain primarily uses glucose as its energy source but can also use ketones. I think this is responsible for the keto flu people talk about. In the beginning your liver will struggle to process enough stored fats fast enough.
I see the technology age has reached the blonde cohort, RT. Great stuff!
Well done on your ten years of happiness with OH, Wiwi. Shame as you say about the other thirty, but at least you have re-found each other now. π π
It’s good to hear that your job situation has improved, OA, and I am sure the weight loss is a response to your increased spirits. A happy workplace is essential, as we spend so much time there, and challenges are what keep us going back for more. Good to have you back. π
No more sight of the full moon tonight – the cloud cover has blotted out the night in preparation for a batten-down-the-hatches weekend.
P, I doubt it. π Greed drives the world (didn’t someone once say love was the driver – hmmm – am I getting too old and cynical?) Burning of forests, killing the last wild elephant, we have had the best of it, I’m afraid.
But as a salve the still-full moon is softly ducking between the clouds outside my window, curtains left ajar for just such a view.
I attended a gathering of half the female accountants in Wellington today, to listen to a nutritionist expounding her epiphany and discovery of a new way to health. I summed it up in six words – eat well, listen to your body Basic stuff, but I suppose most of her audience could benefit. She hasn’t discovered IF yet, so missing a big weapon in her armoury.
I’m seriously thinking of buying a copy of the book and leaving it available at work (after reading it, of course). Enjoy your moon, I’m off to bed on Friday night, after a busy week (five days of work, drat it, but I have to earn the time off for relaxing in Fiji next week π
Have a great weekend, all you lovely losers. (No plagiarism there, RT, just sincere thoughts).
Thanks AO and so happy to hear about your new job . great on he weight loss too . I honestly think it is easier to stick to 5.2 if we are NOT under stress . Onwards and downwards . I am back in the swing now too and feeling good about myself again .
3 different people have asked me this week how I have managed to loose so much weight / When I explained they all said ” I couldn’t do that ” I told them it was so good if you get into the right frame of mind . I love that IF we do (and most of us do at some time) put a few pounds back on that we don’t panic and get right back to it .
I love 5.2 and all of you lovely people . Thank you all for being here and for the great support you have given me with a lot more than the WOL .
Wee xx
Ha ha Slim, I hope it is too late for us on this lovely spinning ball. We don’t play nice and won’t share with other animals who I think are far more deserving. The quicker the human race destroys itself the better π π π π¦
Welcome back Jo, sounds like you’ve had a great break. I hope the scales are kind!
Happy, I fear you are right. We have bred like rabbits, kill other species for fun, are so intolerant in general, and the planet will be able to breathe again when we are gone.
Good to hear from you again, Jojo. Nice to be able to relax and chill, and well done on the self-control. I’m sure the scales will be (fairly) kind to you. π
Welcome home Jo, your holiday sounds perfect (apart from long stretches of driving), just what you needed.
Happy, humans are pretty good at killing each other too, your wishes may be granted sooner than you think if Mr Trump gets his wish! Someone suggested the wall he wants to build is not to keep the Mexicans out, but to keep the Americans in!
Happy weekend all..
Sadly our priorities as a species are not compatible with living sustainably on the planet… GDP…growth…manufacturing…consumerism…
And we take ever more land away from nature for intensive food production while wasting half of what is produced…
I don’t want us all to kill one another, and I don’t want us all to die horribly (antibiotic rrsistebce anyone?!), but I wouldn’t be sad if we shuffled off quietly. Last one here, make sure to turn the electricity off before you leave!
