  • My wife and I went on holiday this year and realised we were the slightly fat couple. Not that we are massive just 2-3 stone over weight and when we saw the photo’s we were horrified and both hated every last bather shot.
This was the incentive that we needed to start the 5.2 diet / eating plan whatever you want to call it.
8 weeks in and all looking good – I have lost 17 lbs. The first 4 weeks was easy and lost the best part of a stone – the next 4 weeks has been slower but still dropping weight at about 1.5 lbs a week.
Still eat the odd MacDonald breakfast and some beers in the week and especially Saturday. Have reduced my calories seriously with no biscuits and sugar ( I was addicted to biscuits min half pack a day )
I have always believed that less is more and at this point it’s certainly true.
The 5/2 for us the way forward
Will follow this up in 4 weeks
    Cheers

    Hi Garlloyd,
    keep it up!
I use to eat alot as i was always tired and thought I needed to eat for energy. 2 years later, I gained all the weight I lost from my last dieting plan. It was a recent photo of me that shocked me into getting back on track. This is my second week in and I lost over 1kg. And though I am eating less, I actually feel more energetic too. So Less is More!

look forward to your update in 4 weeks.

It’s been a while since my first post – a lot going on but my wife and I have been pretty good at sticking to the 5-2 eating plan.
I weighed today and have lost 20 lbs.
Things are slowing down with weight loss averaging about a pound a week now.
The middle period did sort of stick at a weight for a few weeks but I think that was down to a few party weekends with no holds barred.
Back on track and things are looking good. Dropped belt size down by two notches and my 36 waist trousers are falling off. Target still another 18 lbs so I am at the half way point.
Some days are hard to keep focused and others dead easy.
Keep it up all as I feel and look so much better.
    Cheers
