  • Except in Australian heat…meat must be over 60deg or under 25. I can’t remember the exact range of the danger zone from my food handling course, but realistically it has to be served quite promptly from the oven or refrigerated. I’m roasting duck 2 days before, then refrigerating. If you don’t overcook it, or at least baste well, it will be delicious. I’d never forgive myself if my visitors became ill.

It will be well under 25 Purple, my house is very cool…. now you have got me worried! I think I will just wait for the weather forecast to firm up, early days yet!

Sorry Nama. The lower temp is probably 12 or 15. The point is, in England they can leave food out most of the year. My mum, raised by her English mother, was a horror with not refrigerating food. I’m staggered we survived. I guess it was the cast iron stomach that helped ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰
    P

Nama- Yep, pleased as punch, don’t even mind the cleaning today. My mum used to cook our turkey overnight too, it was huge but lasted days.
    Thanks for the suggestions Amazon

    Nama,

Our kitchen was always warm as the oven was on from midnight Christmas Eve until the spuds came out of it. None of us were ever ill from eating turkey that had been kept hot (and it was hot not warm and would be more than 60) in such a way and if your kitchen is what you think of as cool it is probably a similar temperature to a UK kitchen with oven and heating on. I would think that what you do with any leftovers might be an issue but unless your turkey is huge there is unlikely to be much left if you are feeding a crowd.

Don’t stress over it or you won’t enjoy yourself.

    Hello,
The Fast is on today! Starting my day with black coffee. Forget milk and Stevia today and let me see how how the day does.
I was thinking on getting back to my regular fasting scheduled for 5:2 as New Years resulution but if is AWOL better take it serious now.
it’s been a week of too much food and drinks around me … yes! I am weak and love to eat. . It’s a miracle why I am not heavier but we all know this can turn against me. I don’t burn my excess pounds as easier as before.
Jojo those are wonderful news and right before Christmas. I am glad you figured out what works for you and sliming group looks like is a good option.
Nana let’s keep praying for your friends procedure. I guess being healthy will help with her recovery.
All that beautiful snow started melting on the same day. The weather didn’t look good today and looks like we are not having a white Christmas.
    Enjoy your day Fasters โค๏ธ

    Hi All,
Just returned home after dance class, swim(devine warm water today, ignored the fine rain), then shopping trip which was supposed to be 15 mins and turned into 3 hours and spending far too much. Dangerous going out when you are feeling high.
Nama-I hope your friend has good results. She is lucky to have such a caring friend.

No time for hunger today but gallons of water have been consumed.

Getting excited for a Christmas now, don’t even mind the horrible weather.

Barrata- you are an angel ordering fine weather for my trip. I am so white, totally forgotten what a suntan looks like.

Happy to be of service, Jo. Just hope my clout is sufficient to follow through ๐Ÿ™‚

Home today as I am attending court in support of step-grandson who is facing a bail application hearing. I will find out more details shortly, but we hope they will let him come to us – no fun being in prison, especially over Christmas. He wrote a most moving letter asking for support, but I had already decided to be there for him.

    All the best Barata

    Thanks, P ๐Ÿ™‚

Aw Barata! I don’t think prison is fun what so ever or being there over Christmas. I hope this young man have some nice time home โค๏ธ

Told to be there at 10am, then that bail hearings are in the afternoon, try 12, then that contested bail hearings are at the end of the day, so in the end, 3.45. Successful, lad home with me now, grandfather taking him up country tomorrow to stay with whanau, job arranged. So a good outcome. Whew!

Well done Barata. Hopefully you’ll help to turn his life around. ๐Ÿ˜ŠP

I think knowing that the family was there to support him has had a big effect on him – estranged mother, sister and grandfather in court, uncles organising accommodation and work, cousins and aunts involved. I just hope this will help put him on a better road. He had a good chat with his mother when she rang, so fences are being mended. ๐Ÿ™‚ (She had to leave to take his sister to work before he appeared in court).

Thanks for your thoughts, HCB ๐Ÿ™‚

Been awake for hours, just can’t sleep. Don’t know whether it is the list of jobs I need to get done tomorrow or fasting. I have tried reading, playingn patience, meditating but no joy. I did some sorting and tidying in my bedroom but still not sleepy. Killing time before I get up and start on cleaning chores. Don’t want to disturb my other half or the dogs before 6.30 am.

Lucky we Eastern Hemisphere folk are around to talk to Jo.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
I often have difficulty sleeping on fast nights, but stay in bed (between trips to the loo!) to not disturb Mr P.
I’m sitting by the tree with the ceiling fan on, reading. 34 outside and 24 in my solar passive house.
Write down your list of jobs and snuggle under the blankets. P

It must be contagious as I’ve been awake since 4am and have finally given up and made a pot of tea!

I wasn’t tired last night when I went to bed despite a big walk to Kew Gardens and back so I’m not really surprised.
I haven’t noticed a difference in sleep patterns between FDs and NFDs but that might be why you can’t sleep Jo.

I shall drink my tea and read for a while, and I’ll get an early start at the gym ๐Ÿ™‚

My FD went well yesterday and I hope my early start doesn’t make today more difficult.

Morning Amazon. You are all uo well before the birds!
We’ve been waking at 4:30 with the early light and hitting the shops at 8, before the crowds and heat, so by this time of the day, 5:15pm, I’m ready for a doze.
    Enjoy your gym workout. P

In the town of 4000 that i live there are no crowds to beat to the shops certainly no line ups at opening time truly blessed Nama a new forecast is tipping 40deg Christmas Day and 42deg on Boxing Day now that’s what i’m talking about can’t hardly wait.
Christmas of Old with the wheelie evaporated air cooler with a bucket of water poured in the back over the sea grass matting in your bedroom doorway until you fell asleep then onto another bedroom timber framed house with timber floors is the original hot house good times ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Peace RT

    Morning again,
Obviously I fell asleep after I had decided to get up at 6.30. I did a lot of physical work (walk/dance//swim 3 hrs and 3 hrs cleaning) yesterday and didn’t hit the sack until 1.30 am so should have slept like a baby. My list was already on paper PVE. I often sleep badly on fast nights, in the past I would make a snack, now I have a cuppa like Amazon. I think mainly it’s caused by worry, daughter on long route home with 7 hr stopover in Shanghai.

Another 1/2 lb off so I am on a roll, probably because I stopped eating them. Ha ha.

We have two new babies in the extended family today, pictures on Facebook later both female, one is a kitten, both cute.

PVE-taking a leaf from your book I have booked a relax and stretch and gentle yoga class today. That should unwind me. If not I will get my book out too. List first of course, need a clear mind. Cancelled the Play I was due to attend tonight, cosy night in by the sparkly tree is called for before guests arrive tomorrow.

Day 2 fast started, bit hungry but it should go when I get busy.

    Morning/evening all,

I was at the gym nice and early this morning and home early as the showers are being refurbished so no jacuzzi, sauna or swim for me today. I don’t really like coming home straight from a workout but I needed to go today in order to get back into my 3 times per week routine. The good news is that they’ll be finished this evening which is a day ahead of schedule so tomorrow I can have that swim ๐Ÿ™‚
It was really quiet this morning and I think that is more due to the time of year than lack of showers.

It is cold but dry, bright and clear. Apparently a mini monsoon is arriving tomorrow but only for one day!

Apart from food shopping for perishable itemswhich will be done tomorrow I’ve nothing else to do but relax and enjoy the next few days.

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

Good morning from cold -5C to you there down under ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Fast went smooth but felt a little to cold. Just stepping on the scale and seing some improvement is a motivator factor. I am so glad I didn’t postponed my Fast any longer.
I kept part of the day cleaning, organizing and wandering when we’ll leave to Florida.
My husband is a drama queen and keeps coming up with ridiculous excuses but he is the one freezing.
Barata let’s cross the fingers that this young man sees some hope and try to find happiness somewhere to keep him motivated and going forward.
Are you guys counting calories to keep track of you TDEE? I am trying to start a food dairy again ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
    See you later ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒน

Amazon- you could pop down and help me. Damn list keeps getting longer, every job I do seems to create more. Cleared the Welsh dresser, put stuff in dish washer then realised I had to scrub pine and wax it. Took forever but it was a good workout and now looks like new.

I have transferred half my list to tomorrow to make myself feel better about not achieving success. Next year I am going to ask for a cleaner for Christmas.

Amazon- When our gym showers are out of action we get the men’s changing room, it’s not as nice though, bit smelly. They get the family one which is smaller. One guy stripped off in the showers next to the pool, hysterical. He had a great figure so none complained, just admired the view. He wasn’t English of course, he was Russian, nice guy, huge muscles. He often chats to me in the jacuzzi, he is a Sports Coach. My gym trips are not always about the exercise, you see! Ha Ha!

Ah well tea break over, back to work.

    Barrata,
Sorry I missed your posts. Glad outcome good. Young people make silly mistakes and are easily influenced by others. Wishing him a happy and successful new year.

    Jo,

I am 100% into Christmas mode so I’m afraid you’ll have to do it all yourself.

My FD has gone west but I’m not surprised as I was feeling ravenous at 6am!!! I’ll fast tomorrow and maybe Thursday and will only be eating in the evening on Friday.

Dinner only on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day and Boxing Day are going to be free of calorie counting and I’ll regroup on Tuesday. Thankfully I can’t eat anywhere near as much as I used to pack away so I can’t do too much damage in a couple of days. Having said that, despite all my hard work the scales are refusing to budge again. I know that the weight will come off but it is nice to see a drop in the numbers as it encourages me to keep working at it.

Kew Gardens is closed on CE and CD but open for business on Boxing Day so I’m hoping it is a fine day. The gym is open again on Tuesday which is excellent and means no excuses ๐Ÿ™‚

There are no family changing areas at my gym as it is adults only. It is a minor inconvenience not to be able to shower, and it only affects me for one day. The early birds are theose who are most affected as they come on at 7am and then shower and get ready for work. None of them were there this morning. Having said that, quite a few businesses have closed until Jan 3rd so a lot of the younger ones have probably left London for Christmas.
I love London at this time of year, hardly any traffic and far fewer people rushing around. Next week will be even nicer ๐Ÿ˜Ž

A quick pop in . Going to be a strange Christmas with Dad not here and it would have been Mums birthday on the 25th too .Just Jim me and Ross for dinner and eldest son and his wife will pop in later on .
I am one of those strange people who quite enjoy housework . I blame my Mam for that . I was on top of things with just the presents to sort out BUT . I opened a tin of custard and the full tin tipped over into my cutlery drawer . What a mess lol . So now I also have a sparkling cutlery drawer with all the odds and ends I don’t need now binned .
Tomorrow I will put the presents in Ross room ( still call it that lol ) make sure I haven’t forgotten anyone and that should be me finished .
Our eldest granddaughter has set a date for her wedding . 26th September :). So we have that to look forward too . It is going to be very posh and it looks amazing SOOO I will have be looking my best for that . She wanted jim to be in the kilt but he says his legs are too skinny lol .
I hope you all have an amazing Christmas xxx

    Wee xxxx

    Amazon,
Actually I have finished my jobs for today and fast Day 2 has gone well, lots of hot green tea. Very tired and cold thought. Had to leave Yoga half way through because I was freezing cold under an air conditioning vent. Dangerous doing stretches with cold muscles as I know to my cost. I had done an hour of stretch and relax first. It was definitely not relaxing, bloody hard work in fact. I Yoga we paired up, it was not ideal as my partner was very short, delightful Japanese lady. She was unable to do much due to a back problem. Everyone in the class seemed to have a knee, hip, shoulder or back problem.
Wee- how exciting, a wedding, I haven’t been to one for ages, but my brother is getting married in April, his 3rd marriage so I too will be buying a new hat. Have a great Christmas pal.
I am heading off to bed now with my hot water bottle, should sleep well tonight, I hope. My daughter has arrived in this country and will be heading home tomorrow, can’t wait.
    Keep fasting!

    Hello,
I am trying hard to be so careful not to have too much food in the fridge because soon we’ll be heading south. iIt’s not easy and we still need food. There’s always plenty food, veggies and fruit. The main problem is that I need some heavy carbs for my husband. You know! He is skinny and carbs are delicious ๐Ÿ˜ฉ
I cooked turkey meatballs with tomato sauce, and cooked spaghetti.
My plate didn’t have much of the carbs but my TDEE was all used up. Not with carbs, lol. My diary is telling me so.
Keeping track of what we eat is defibetsky a must ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ™ˆ
Jo I am glad your girl is almost home. This years one of my trips was way too long
Wee you’ll be the hottest Gal for the wedding of your granddaughter. I love weddings ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
    See you tomorrow

    Morning/evening all

It’s the winter solstice and not light yet at 8.05.

The forecast for today is dull and wet โ˜น

I’m slept really well last night which is no surprise after a 4am awakening. Gym this morning and then I’m going to hit the supermarket and buy the all important brussel sprouts plus a few other items ๐Ÿ˜‰

That should keep me out of mischief until mid afternoon,

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

    Morning All,
Another 1/2 lb bites the dust. I had hoped it would be 1lb per day on zero cal but it just proves what I am up against when I eat 1200 calories. Day 3 is the toughest and I have woken really hungry. Just sipping tea and planning what I will eat tomorrow night at the pub. I am thinking skate with caper sauce.

Another busy day today, starting with dog walk and then cleaning my car inside and out. This is no mean job, last done 6 months ago I think. It’s usually my bowls and gym wardrobe so full of stuff on back seats. Boot is preserve of the dogs so even worse.

No food shopping for me today, far too risky, I might eat everything in site, raw.

Dull day here too but warmer than yesterday. Meditating about sunshine and beaches.

Summer solstice here ๐Ÿ˜Š Lovely mild weather. Very pleasant to get the garden and pool ready for Christmas visitors. All cruising here. Good weight, but ever vigilant, especially while trying to clear out the freezer ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰ Last fast before Christmas starts right now! P

PVE- well I have an outside warm pool but it’s a bit parky today so I am not even considering it. The problem with no cal fasts is feeling cold, brrrhhhh. Dog walk was bloody freezing, hat, scarf, gloves, thermals and still cold. Changed my mind about it being warmer than yesterday, must be at zero. Good Luck on your fast today( but I know you don’t need it, you are an example to us all)

    2017 Plans

Interestingly I think I may have finally beaten the hunger dragon into submission. It’s all downhill from here, I am aiming for my goal by the end of June. That way I can enjoy summer. Already planning to sell my 16 plus clothes on line. THIS IS IT FINALLY! It’s only taken several years of fasting and yoyoing to learn the truth about myself. I suppose that’s about 10 % of the time I have been officially obese. Obviously a very slow learner.

My new way of life after this fast done is 23/1 daily, it’s doable for me and stops me yoyoing on non fast days. I am sticking with no sugar and low carbs as they don’t really interest me anymore. Birthday cake an exception, tiny slice. Alcohol will be limited at 1 G & T only at social occasions. As for exercise- I am happy with my current level but may add running club if it works out physically. I may need to lose another stone first.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone, signing off until New Year. Fun, Fun, Fun is the order of the day, not Food, Food, Food. Enjoy the FASTivities

I’m glad you’ve found a way that works for you Jo!
Believe me, it is not always, not even often, a breeze for me to fast and I get VERY cold without food, but I know it is the only way to stay healthy and control my eating.
All the best for a very happy Christmas. P ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ

Merry Merry Merry Christmas to all of you lovely people . Fast day for me today . Just checking I have got a present or money for everyone . I have put everything in the spare room ready to be wrapped and bagged up . I always worry I forget someone BUT I never have . I have a dentist appointment in he afternoon . last minute shopping tomorrow . The car goes in on Thursday for its service and MOT. Anything else that need done can be done on Friday . I haven’t really felt in the Christmas mood yet BUT I am still going to put some decorations up tonight or tomorrow . We can celebrate the life of Mam and dad on Christmas day . It would have been Mams birthday so we need to celebrate it now they are both together again . It is pouring buckets and freezing here . have a lovely Christmas all of you whether near or far . Thank you again for all the support you have all given me .

    Wee xxxx

    Hi again everyone.

I had a good morning at the gym and the new showers are finished a day early which was good as I really enjoy a nice hot shower immediately after exercising.

I went to the supermarket and it was packed but very civilised. The staff were being very efficient at re-filling the fast emptying shelves and there were no queues at any of the deli counters which was great.
I got everything I wanted including some really interesting looking purple edged brussel sprouts still on the stalk. I’ve never seen them before so had to try them. I doubt they’ll taste much different from the more usual green varieties.
I also spied some fresh horseradish root which is quite hard to get hold of so I’ll be pickling whatever is left after I’ve used it in the dressing for the smoked salmon.

The cool box (eski) is on the back step doing duty as an overflow fridge, wonderful for keeping fruit and veg fresh for a couple of weeks in our winter weather. When I was a child we used to keep it all in the garden shed along with beer and soft drinks to keep them cold.

I’m fasting today and possibly tomorrow then it’s 23/1 Friday and dinner only on Christmas Eve.

I get very cold on FDs if I’m not careful and find going to the gym and keeping busy are the best way to keep warm.

Today has been fine and I can honestly say that I’m not at all hungry which is in stark contrast to yesterday when I was ravenous at 6am after a bad night.

It is getting dark already ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

    Amazon,

What a domestic goddess you are! Things always seem to turn out OK for me, but i never feel in control!

    Wee,

I hope you enjoy Christmas this year. It’s going to be tinged with sadness, no doubt, but hopefully you can celebrate too as you were truly blessed to have your dear Dad for so long.

Oh and re skinny legs, I’m sure you could get some calf padding for Jim…or perhaps you could knit him some calf-enhanced socks to wear with a kilt?!

I’m off work now until January ๐Ÿ˜Š Think I may do a 24 hour fast tomorrow. Last chance for slimming down before the big day!

    Morning/evening all

A misty morning which is apparently going to turn into a beautiful sunny day ๐ŸŒž
I’m going to see my niece and great nephew this morning and good weather means we have the opportunity for a stroll in their local park.

I’m aiming for one meal only today, either lunch out with my niece or dinner at home.

Happy, back in the days when I did on call duties I used to work either Saturday or Sunday in three out of every four weekends, and we never got time off at Christmaspart from the BH days and someone had to work on those days, so I had to be really organised to get anything done at any time of year and it is a good habit to have.

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

    Morning All,
Just to let you know that I have reopened the old thread. I am trying to find some fasters to join me on 23/1 for the next six months. As this thread is mostly maintainers now I need more focus on losing. Hopefully post Christmas I will get some new fasters who are really goal based and can share my weight loss drive.

Ps- zero cal 4 day fast ends tonight, feel amazing physically and mentally. Slept well 3/4 nights. Only drawback was feeling cold.
Another 2 lbs down today, put total in tomorrow after meal out tonight. Feeling positive and in control for Christmas.

    Jo,

The original thread was abandoned due to technical difficulties. Those difficulties will still be there if you try and re-use it.

Why not start a new ‘Lose 2lbs per week – join Jo thread’, the title can be nearly identical, but won’t be beset by technical issues?

And re wanting a new thread because this thread is full of maintainers. I know you only post on one thread, so you are effectively saying that you’d rather your old weight loss buddies (who all got to goal before you) stop posting where you are?!

    Happy Christmas ๐Ÿ˜€

Merry Christmas to All have the best day ever Fast Friends.
I agree Happy that was my male assessment for the change back for Jojo and thatโ€™s fine

All prepared ready and taken down in one big massive esky over 1m long byo drinks chairs & happy pants ๐Ÿ˜†
    Peace RT

Oh RT, if only I lived closer I’d be gate-crashing your beach party! It sounds absolutely delicious, mmmmm….. Not to mention swapping gales and rain โ˜”๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ’จfor a bit of sea and warm sun ๐Ÿฆ€โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ

Oh yes RT, I agree with Happy, your feast sounds wonderful! Especially on the beach! That must be one hell of an Esky too….Dont go out too far, the sharks would find you tasty with that grub on board!!

Jo I am sorry you are not finding what you need on this thread any more. Fair enough if you want to change it up a bit, but really, we are all goal driven here too. And all weight loss driven. Maintenance is not some Utopia where we can take our foot off the pedal. In some ways it is even harder, to avoid complacency. I wish you well with your new buddies.

As usual I have been misunderstood. I have used the old thread again because it’s more likely to be found as ‘most popular’. I haven’t had any technical issues so I guess it’s fixed.

I love chatting with my fasting buddies and still plan to post on here. I am hoping to find some newbies who will be prepared to experiment with 23/1 and low carb, no sugar. That is not necessary or preferred usually for maintainers unless they have had a lapse and need to get back to their lowest. Plus many prefer the standard 5:2. I have given that a shot and it didn’t work for me.

Please don’t be upset with me, I never intended to put anyone’s nose out of joint. I have always been friendly and non confrontational on my thread. Nothing has changed.

    Good Morning,
Thanks everyone for letting me be part of the group. I do believe we all have good intentions here. Just sharing our struggles dealing with losing, maintaining and yo-yoing is a big help.
I am doing the 2nd Fast of the week and very pleased with it. I haven’t reached my initially goal yet but I am certain I will.
RT when I started reading your post I thought you were pulling a joke on us. OMG what a delicious Christmas menu and party and on top of it at the beach ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
    Talk to you later ๐Ÿ’‹

Jo, do you really think that new people will choose the old thread over this one? There is no logical reason why that should happen. Come 1st January there will be lots of new 5:2 ers looking for a home and having two threads with similar titles by the same person is more likely to cause confusion than anything else. Using the old thread isn’t going to make your weight loss journey any easier and you already have plenty of support on this thread.

I intend to do 23/1 every day in the New Year so you already have company.

I’ve just spent a lovely few hours with my niece and great nephew. We started off at a coffee shop and then went for a walk in the local park which gave the little one the opportunity to run around in the playground, splash in all the puddles and get soaked on the slide!
We then went to the small zoo and looked at the birds, pigs, goats and meerkats who were all standing up taking in the sunshine and he was greatly amused by them. We then went back to the coffee shop for lunch and sat outside in the sunshine. My meal of the day was a chicken, avocado and bacon sarnie. It also contained lots of salad with lemony dressing and was made with freshly cut granary bread, so I’ve had my weekly fix ๐Ÿ˜‰

It has been cold but sunny since around 9.30am and we made the most of it as the next sunshine isn’t due until Boxing Day!

    Amazon,
Great to hear you will be carrying on, assumed you were almost at goal. In which case I will stay with this thread and we can crack on together.
    Merry Christmas All.

    Amazon,

I’m doing 23/1 today, breaking it with ham jerk in about an hour…. I’m hoping there’ll be some left over because Jamie’s suggested leftover sandwich sounds damned good too!

    Jo,

As Nama said, maintenance isn’t a ‘foot off the pedal’ situation, and I suspect most if not all of us are still working hard to stand still.

However this thread has become very chatty, with more social life than food and fasting. So perhaps everyone needs to re-focus and remember to document food and fasting successes and failures first and then social journal second!

I feel that I’m working hard to stand still at the moment as the scales are reluctant to move but I’ve not been overeating on NFDs recently so it should happen.
My plan for the New Year which involves 23/1 every day, counting every calorie when eating at home as I’ve fallen back into guesstimating which is a bad idea, and getting back to the level of exercise I was at a while back as it keeps me busy and makes me feel great ๐Ÿ™‚

Plan B is a fat transplant from me to my too skinny niece ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy, I hope the ham is good.
You may be right about the nature of the thread and I guess we talk more about social stuff as we’ve got to know each other better. The thread resolution for 2017 will have to be business first ๐Ÿ˜‰

Jo, I’ve got 17lbs to go to get to goal (which I know will need to be adjusted to a lower level) but the way things have been going it may as well be 77, so I’ll definitely be doing my utmost to get things moving and feel that 23/1 is the way forward.

I believe there is no sunny upland called goal. What eventually happens, and it looks as if you have reached that point Jo, you develop a deep undestanding of your body and it’s real nutritional needs. We use the 23/1 and 18/6 eating techniques very often, on top of 2 proper fasts. We eat low carb, full fat, limited sugars and processed foods and drink lots of water. The reality is, that is healthy eating for all of us. As such, we are all operating from the same score.
As I said, only the other day, fasting is rarely easy for me, but it is utterly necessary.
RT, you didn’t give us the address of that beach or a start time! I’m available and could organise a flight ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
Off to buy the food for our party. Cheers P

    Amazon,

The ham was good, although not falling off the bone… I blame the ham not the recipe though. I’ll try a different butcher next time. I normally avoid scotch bonnet as I don’t usually like the flavour, but they worked well in this.

I did manage to put off making mince pies again today, but I think tomorrow may be the day. The problem is not so much the (reduced sugar) mince pies themselves, but the inevitable left over pastry which inevitably falls into my mouth…raw… Think perhaps tomorrow needs to be 23/1 too ๐Ÿ˜Š
