I did my first proper fast day yesterday – it went well, and I felt good! I tried fasting last year, but didn’t do it properly and got discouraged, so this time I bought the book and am sticking to it properly!
Has anyone here lost a lot of weight doing 5:2? I’m a big girl – I’m 45, 6 feet tall with a BMI of 40.8, which was a bit horrifying! I need to lose about 8 stone to get anywhere near a BMI of 25, but I can’t think about it in that kind of amount – it’s too scary! I’d love to hear some success stories of people who have lost a lot, or are on their way to losing a lot. I know I’ll need some encouragement, and I hope I’ll be able to support others too. I know this isn’t just about weight loss, and I’m hoping to avoid diabetes and arthritis as part of the process, but weight loss is my main aim at the mo – for obvious reasons!
My next fast day will be Monday – I’m going to do Mondays and Wednesdays and see how it goes.
