Just starting out

  • Hi. I shall be starting the 5:2 diet from Monday. This will coincide with hubby fasting for Ramadan. He’s not Muslim but has done this for years to empathise with his Muslim colleagues. This should help me through the first stages of my fasting. I’ve been building up this week, leaving brekkie as long as possible, getting into the habit of drinking rather than eating. I’ve lost 3lbs so far by doing this! Anyway, I’ll keep you posted on progress. If anyone has any tips and tricks they’d be most welcome.

    Hi MandaM88, thanks for your kind words. Really up for it. I’ve been getting myself psyched up, including hunger control. Just found out that the Birds Eye Fish Inspirations I had for tea are just 115 calories per piece. Great for fast days with a shed load of veg!
