    This is my first time on this forum and I wanted to introduce myself.

    My name is Suzanne and after reading some good reviews I plan to start 5:2 in the new year.

    I weighed myself today and after a lot of over indulging at Christmas I’m currently the heaviest I’ve ever been. I was always quite thin after losing my puppy fat but after having my son 8 years ago I was never really able to lose the baby weight. I’m really unhappy about the way I look and none of my clothes fit or feel comfortable.

    I’ve tried many other diets in the past with varying degrees of results. One problem I’ve had with other diets is sustainabilty. Especially as a family we tend to eat together and I’ve never been able to find a diet what accommodates the rest of my families needs.
    So so far this diet seems ideal as it won’t affect the rest of my family at all

    My ultimate weight loss goal is 3 stone which I’d like to be able to accomplish by the end of the year.

    I’d like to keep you posted about my progress and results as support from others should help keep me motivated.

    Hi Suzanne I’m toni this is my first time on here today too. I myself have found that I am in a rut not being able to shift the baby weight and having tried all other diets I have had no success either. I am hoping to lose 4 stone my self. Hopefully this one will be the one that can help transform our lives

    Hi. I’m Cathy. Feel like I’m in the same boat. Could do to lose 3 -4 stone but have spent most of my adult life overweight. I too have an 8 year old son and I’m ashamed to admit I’m now heavier than I was when I was fully 9 months pregnant with him! Oh dear

    Hello. I’m holiday at the moment but intending to start this on Monday when I am back at work. Going for mon/thu as I think they will fit in best with my work etc. I’ planning to do 1 meal a day about lunchtime with an apple or something in the evening. Not sure how I’ll manage without my milky coffees! What are your plans? X

    Good luck I start Monday too with around two stone to lose. I’m quite relishing it to be honest, its time to take control.

    Hi all, thought I’d post a little update!

    I’ve being doing 5:2 now for 3 weeks with a detox between Christmas and new year and I’ve lost 13lbs since Boxing Day (nearly a stone in a month!)

    It’s been quite easy tbh and I’m feeling healthier and more in control than ever.

    I have 2 more stone to lose to reach my happy weight so I’ll keep you posted on my progress

    I’ve just finished reading the revised fastdiet book. Very impressed. We are planning to start the fasting next week. Need to plan and shop carefully first.
    Going to do this as a family.
    Am keen to start and spurred on by your comnents.
