Just Starting!

  • Hi All, just starting the Fast Diet and I have quite a lot to loose! I am starting at 218lbs and need to get down to 126! This is about my health and recommended by my Doctor. I have had a mastectomy and all the treatment to do with it, which has now finished and I am cancer free. However because of the treatment I have gained 92lbs which my Doctor wants me to loose because of having had the cancer. However I have found it extremely hard to do. In fact I seem to be able to put weight on with no trouble, but taking it off is another matter! I was 126lbs for years and went back to this weight after having both my Boys but since the cancer it just has gone on and on. What I would like to know is if the Fast diet can work for me? I have seen that a lot of people only have a small amount to loose but I need to loose this amount, can it work? I don’t mind how long it takes just so long as I know that I will get there in the end. Thanks for reading this. Susie x

    I am very glad you are cancer free, what an amazing journey you’ve already been through!!
    I think your goal is perfectly doable, it just takes time, and if you look around this forum you will find lots of help and advice, and of course great support too 🙂

    Hi Susie As Angie said You have been on quite a journey and good news that you are cancer free. There are some amazing stories on this forum to support you, many people who have lost 40,50,60 lbs and more. so i reckon you are in the right place here with the fast diet–that has so many other health benefits.

    Like almost everyone in the forums you WILL have the ups and down but that’s normal and if your having a bad day just come and read the comments for a good boost of positive feedbacks.

    Hi i am just starting to.

    I am looking to lose around 10 lbs.

    I really struggle with losing weight and am worried i won’t be able to do the fasting days. Im starting tomorrow, doing it tuesdays and Thursdays.
    Does anyone have tips for me? I struggle in the office at work and wondered what the best things to eat are. Im a vegetarian too.

    Welcome to your support group.
    My daughter is on the plan as a vegetarian, she had 20 lbs to lose. She has followed the fasting days to the letter but over eaten on the other days. Check out your TDEE and count calories on myfitnesspal which is a free ap. don’t make her mistake, 5 weeks in and only 2 lbs down. Also get a pedometer and make sure you walk 10,000 steps every day, this really helps and keeps you active.
