Just started the 5:2 diet on Friday

  • Hi everyone, thought I would give this diet a go.
    Have tried various diets over the years, probably had best results with Weight watchers but have always slipped back into bad habits ie fizzy juice, chocolate etc.
    I’m 5’8 and currently weigh 13 stone 12lbs which for my height is classed as obese, I was 14 stone 4 lbs after New Year.
    Ideally I would love to get down to around 12 stone 7 lbs.
    Anyway, I have done two fast days Friday and Saturday, how many calories should I have for the five non fast days?
    Any help much appreciated.

    These figures seem on the high side.
    Surely i’m not supposed to eat 2689 calories on non fast days!
    Your BMI is: 29.3
    Your BMR is: 7259 kJ / 1735 calories
    Your TDEE is: 11251 kJ / 2689 calories
    Confused.

    Factus8 I think that you may have overestimated your activity levels on your TDEE.
