  • Day 13 — Albuquerque, NM — NFD

    @coda how wonderful to see a wolf! I look forward to some day visiting Glacier, Yellowstone, and other places in the far north.

    @safarigirl — congratulations on your great start! You can do this!

    @coda – I know OH is excited about putting you on a horse so he can be married to a real cowgirl! And yes, the rain out there in the mountains can really be strong!

    Day 14 NFD NZ
    Broke my overnight fast with lunch today. Will be doing a full FD tomorrow.

    Day 14 * Germany * NFD

    I’m definitely in. Can I ask for advice over what to eat on the days of 500 cal? This is my first time doing this diet

    (I’m a lot behind sorry! This is day 1: Birmingham, UK)

    Day 14 Belfast FD
    I’m feeling so good this morning. Went out yesterday evening and had a Mediterranean salad for my evening meal with my friend. The scales are kind to me this morning and I’m feeling SO motivated. I’ve decided that, instead of my two fasts, I’m going to do three alternate days this week, Mon, Wed and Fri. My goal is to slip below 11 stone by the end of the month, just 2.5 lbs. I can do this. My mojo is back.
    @awilson if you go onto the BBC website there are lots of articles about restless legs. You might get some relief there. One of my girlfriends has a similar problem and takes quinine, but that’s prescribed by the doctor.
    @safarigirl you’re a star! ⭐️Great results!!
    @coda enjoy every moment!
    @chen3 Welcome. The way this forum works is to start your post with the following details:
    Day – ie. June 14th= Day 14
    Country – it’s helpful/interesting for members to know. Put your city/town too if you wish.
    What type of day you are following – ie. FD = Fast Day, NFD = Non Fast Day. There are variations such as CD = controlled day but you’ll pick those up as we go along.
    If you read the post on the first page put there my our wonderful host, Strawberriesandcream, that will give you a good idea of the basics. Here is the link below to another useful thread.

    Have a great day everyone. It’s yours to do with as you choose!

    I’ve just seen the news. Thoughts and prayers for everyone involved in the awful tower block fire. Yet another awful tragedy.

    Day 14, UK, NFD

    Just watching the news from the London fire on TV. Very sad.

    day 14 post1 NFD Huntingdon UK

    More importantly than my own personal mission to get fitter and lose weight … my heart goes out to Londoners who are having such an awful time at the moment.

    Thank you @debster251 and @songbirdme for your kind words….. I know its early days and I have another 2 stones to lose and it will get harder as I get near my goal weight …. trying to be realistic….but am so pleased … and i feel lighter !!!

    Pleased to be part of the forum and reading everyone else experiences.

    I am conscious that I am working quite hard at this at the moment to get the weight reduction … when i get to my goal weight I will reduce the intensity and move into maintenance mode which will seem easy. I am hoping by then as the walking and fasting will be a way of life… tbh … it feels like a way of life now .

    Keep on keeping on !

    Day 14 uk nfd or fd…. can’t decide
    Hmmmm not sure whether to fast today or not….xx

    Day 14 Newcastle UK NFD.
    B2B FD and 1lb heavier lol it could have been that extra sultana I had last night🤣 see where I am on Sunday. Going to fit one more FD into this week probably Friday or Saturday.
    My thoughts are with anyone trap in the London tower block makes me realise that losing a few pounds isn’t that important in the scheme of things. Good luck everyone have a great day.

    Day 14 NFD
    Scotland

    Well I managed to stick to 500kcal yesterday.

    All the best to those on FD

    Day 14 UK NFD

    178.8lbs. I am certainly not seeing the results I did before. I suppose I am doing less work than when I was carrying all that extra around with me. No volunteers showed up yesterday so I had to do everyone’s work which I did fairly easily. I couldn’t possibly have done that six months ago. Even if I stick at this weight forever it wouldn’t be too bad! I just must not go the other way. Fasting was easy with me so busy. Only ate a bowl of greens with a couple of slices of cheese on top when I finished. If I have to do that a few times a week to stay steady I can live with it. It is much better than the pain and fatigue.

    Day 13- Montreal- NFD
    Day 14-Montreal-FD

    Day 14, Guildford UK, FD

    Please add me to the list

    @debster251
    @rainbowsmile

    Onwards and upwards super heroes

    @coda so exciting
    @steve tune taxi driver, one sultana not raisin! Probably water weight

    Day 14, Northumberland UK, NFD

    Aiming at another controlled day. Fast day yesterday was pretty easy, but again caved to the supper time dilemna of sticking with a liquid only fast and ate fruit and yoghurt with a sprinkle of rolled oats. Followed up with more liquids did the trick and I didn’t then snack, but if next FD is as easy I think I should stay with liquid only and see how the following morning feels.

    Weight this morning 76.4kg, waist 75cm, hips 99cm, bust 98cm. Very close to June goal, which was actually overall goal, but as there are still some wobbly bits and I seem to be less motivated this close to goal, think I will switch the long term goal down to 11’7″ which is about 73kg. That would also take my BMI to the middle of the healthy range, although I am less concerned about that.

    Gym yesterday was good with fast at that point at around 22 hours, and I definitely feel fitter and healthier and have way more energy than when I started this. Also sleeping much better mostly, which helps. And apparently I’ve also stopped snoring, which is now disturbing my husband that I’m sleeping quietly as much as the snoring ever did LOL.

    Day 14, Newcastle UK, NFD

    OH and I are feeling numb watching the news. This is so sad. Praying for all affected by this awful fire.

    Welcome @jisika and @chen3 – welcome to our international family. I see @debster251 has very kindly given you all the information you need and I have added you to our spreadsheet should you wish to track your details – the link for which is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SLq0JjjWe8jvsiubsJSS8owJ-qYfGYtY1ceZPkWphLM/edit#gid=0 You simply put your detail onto your line and exit the spreadsheet, it’s as simple as that. Thanks for your help @debster251 and good to hear you’re back on track. Really like that quote too.
    @yolina – thank you 🙂 @chumi – how frustrating for you – best wishes for a quick recovery. @belfastsink – fortunately I am self employed so the only one who can sack me lol! However, if I don’t do my invoices I don’t get paid…..
    @schatziii – great news about your eye test 🙂 @anna6 – your BBQ food sounds delicious – and pat on back for avoiding bread and potato salad. @lola907 – think of @happymargo‘s saying “will this get me closer to my goal” as you make your food choices over the weekend. Being mindful could help you enjoy your meals and feel virtuous too. @taraga – I’m curious about your fasting regime during Ramadan as I heard on the radio that water is not allowed during fasting hours either – is that right? If so would I be right to think you would break your fast with water before eating – which would then help regulate how much food is consumed?
    @redrockgirl302 – lovely, happy post – you’re on a roll! @vegangirl – isn’t it such a motivator to get back into smaller clothes – well done on great progress. @rainbowsmile – worth experimenting but don’t despair – this WOL does work and you will see results soon. @coda – hi – you’re bringing back some wonderful memories for me – sounds like a great vacation. @keetseel – I also have great memories of Albuquerque and Santa Fe – you live in a beautiful state and a great country.
    @lumat – sending you big hugs – Sunday will be here before you know it. @safarigirl – just take one day at a time and a month from now you can look back to today and tell us of your progress. Well done @hotchoc 🙂 @fatrabbit – sounds like another whoosh for you is in the offing.

    I managed a controlled NFD yesterday – within TDEE. Because I worked all day I only had one meal and that was sufficient. It will be the same today as I have 3 back to back jobs to go to.

    Let’s count our blessings and make the best of each and every day. Life is so fragile and so precious. Love to all.

    DAY 14 – UK – FD

    For those who queried it:

    PrObiotics (note not prEbiotics) were used by Michael Mosely in his BBC Programme “The Truth About Sleep” -(now available on youtube.) Amongst several other volunteers trying diferent experiments, he tried the probiotic powder, which he stirred into a hot drink before he went to bed, it improved his sleep dramatically, when he stopped taking it, his sleep reverted to as it was before his experiment, then after taking it again, improved again. It contains fibre which reacts with the gut, both improving the gut and by doing that, improves sleep. I bought mine off the Internet – Greens Organics – I had to wait awhile for my order, (many others I tried had sold out – no doubt because of the programme) but when I chased them up it was obviously a delivery problem, and I received my order within 2 days by Registered Mail. I stirred a good teaspoonful into my regular hot milk last night – as I hadn’t slept the night before I was tired anyway, so did sleep well…..but I’ll give it a week before I draw any conclusions. I rated last night as zzzz….4/5. Hope this helps.

    Day 14 NFD. London. Weighed myself this morning, 2kg down so far this month – that’s really satisfying. That’s 1.8% of my total weight. Don’t they say even losing 10% can have a significant health impact?

    Now, only another 30kg to go, haha!!

    Day 14, London, UK, FD (1st of B2B)

    I hope the fire hasn’t directly affected any of our group, my thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected, such a tragedy.

    I’ll have to do a B2B this week in order to maintain my ADF aim for June, as I’m out on Friday night for best friends’ birthday…….. Cinema, lunch, Thai dinner, overnight in hotel & breakfast. Food, food, food, food!!! I’ll need to be especially mindful as Thai food is my weakness, well one of them anyway!!!
    I could skip the Sat breakfast, but I wouldn’t want to be unsociable (!!) so I’ll be keeping it LIGHT!!! Looking forward to ‘banking’ this B2B so I can be mindful NOT guilty on Friday night!!! I’m pretty sure the Phad thai isn’t going to get me closer to my goal (a la @happymargo), but I’m gonna have it anyway – let’s not go crazy here!!!!

    I hope everyone is going well, keep on keeping on and don’t lose faith….. this works!!!

    Hello Dear Friends,

    Praying for everyone in London…

    Thank you @Strawberriesandcream for the lovely welcome.

    Day 14, Mumbai, India, NFD

    My journey began on the 6th of March 2017… I was at my heaviest and weighed 75.3kgs. I was falling sick more often and was finding it difficult to recover as well. The endless course of medicines added to my misery. It was a vicious cycle I couldn’t break. I didn’t have the energy to do anything and I was forever exhausted. Honestly, doctors were no help… they told me to loose weight but didn’t tell me how; they told me to exercise but didn’t tell me where to get the energy?

    After a lot of research I came across the 5:2 diet and am so thankful for this WOL. I started this WOL as an experiment coz I was too scared to have high expectations at the beginning. The biggest challenge I faced was convincing people (family, friends and colleagues) that fasting was safe (for a while everyone thought I was completely MAD).

    Things changed when they started noticing a positive change in me – not only had the weight started coming off… I was much more energetic and HAPPY. My cholesterol levels, which were slightly high, started reducing without any medication, though the good cholesterol also reduced ;-). I am also monitoring other health issues such as PCOD, Uterine Fibroid and migraine. In fact the frequency and the intensity of my migraine attacks have reduced drastically. I had more migraine attacks when I was eating 5 meals a day.

    Today I am 69kg (had gone down to 67.2kg). Gained a couple of kg this month due to very hectic work schedule and a very busy social calendar. I haven’t been able to complete a single FD this week…but somewhere in my mind I am sure I will be back on the wagon soon (next week). The weight gain does not scare or depress me anymore.

    Keep well and be happy

    Day 14, Hampshire, UK – CD/16:8

    Horrible news on the radio this morning re the tower block fire, I was really saddened by some of the very graphic eye-witness accounts, those people must be highly traumatised. Awful for everyone concerned.

    @jisika – What a moving story from you and well done on all the amazing progress you have made so far.
    We are all here to help and support you (& share our own ups, downs and learnings!) Congratulations upon your achievements in difficult circumstances. The health benefits are in my view even more significant than the weight loss.

    5:2 is such a great WOL and so easy to maintain in the long term!

    Prior to this, the longest I ever lasted on a diet was 10 days and that was HELL!!

    On a + note, I had a really good 16:8 day yesterday. I didn’t limit calories as I was following the keto plan.

    I am doing the same today.

    Tomorrow (thurs) will be my second and final FD of this week.

    Good luck to all :0)

    Day 14 – Scotland – FD
    FDs are definitely much easier. Having said that, I’m still waiting for the day when my stomach will shrink and I will be able not to eat/finish something because I feel too full. 🙂
    Dinner tonight with lovely salmon burgers with thai spices. Some rocket and cherry tomatoes on the side. Looking forward to it, still 7 hours to go!

    Day 14 – FIN – FD

    Awful news from London once again – you know it’s bad when it makes the headline news even over here. I hope the firefighters are able to save as many as possible from the fire.

    Decided to fast today, as we have a family friend coming over in the evening and I don’t want to make a fuss out of my eating. I’m on the borderline of getting fed up with a family member constantly expressing frustration over me and my sister doing 5:2 and calling not eating on fast days “not normal”. I’m a bit worried about that person’s reaction if I would inform them that I plan on doing a b2b today and tomorrow (as I feel like two fast days is not enough to counteract the excess I’ve eaten during the past week).

    @strawberriesandcream Thank you for your kind wishes.

    POCKET LIST day 14:

    @debster251
    @rainbowsmile
    @chumi – b2b?

    Hi!

    Sorry for barging in on your topic but I wanted to post and say that if you are not getting the email notices of posts on topics to which you’ve subscribed, please check your junk folder. Here’s how to do it for Outlook / Microsoft / Hotmail.

    Again, apologies for the out of context post. Thanks!

    Day 14……Florida….FD

    Welcome to the newbies that joined us this week! Your gonna love it here!

    Had an NFD, I did really think I ate all that badly, but this morning my belly is not liking me. But to be fair, I did something, I normally never do, I left the table stuffed. Hopefully, this solid FD, I’m planning today will help that!

    @chen 3….. For this WOL, you can eat and drink anything you’d like. There are no food restrictions, however, to get the biggest bang for your buck, I suggest whole foods rather than processed. It seems to me that you can eat more if they are less processed. Example, one donut is about 250 calories…… but an apple is about 50 meaning you can eat 5 apples to one donut. Make sense?
    Here’s is my menu for my FD day as an example to you.
    Breakfast
    Coffee with cream about 3 cups…..45 calories
    Lunch…. broccoli with cheese…….40 calories
    Snack….. coffee with cream……22 calories
    Dinner…..2 eggs for 140 calories
    3 slices of bacon…..80 calories
    Slice of toast with butter….130
    If I’m really hungry, I have enough calories remaining to add another egg and some fruit.
    Hope this helps in what you could possibly eat over the course of a FD day.

    Okay, well that’s it I’m off!

    No Kung-fu fighting today all the participants are on blended knee saying their prayers for London!

    Day 14 Tas Australia NFD

    Very happy this morning on the scales as I was 600gms from maintenance weight. Hopefully I’ll get there soon. Fasting again tomorrow.

    So heartbreaking to see the footage from the horrible fire in London. Can only pray for those families.

    Day 14 – USA (Illinois) – NFD

    Flag Day here in the USA. Still under goal weight at 158.8 this morning. I think the kombucha is helping digest the food I am eating. My past several days on NFD’s have been right at TDEE. Going to Silver Sneakers at my gym this morning.

    @chen3 – On FDs I prefer to have only liquids (lots of water but also morning black coffee) until a mid-day apple (@100 calories). Then I have a salad supper with lots of greens and non-carb veggies, add some protein (usually a little chicken, cheese, egg) and some salad dressing. That pretty much makes my 450 calorie FD. I avoid bread on FD’s as the carbs seem to make me hungrier than a day without. But there are as many ways to manage this WOL as there are people here!

    Hugs and prayers to all you Londoners over yet another tragedy.

    Day 14, Belfast, NFD

    Heartbreaking news from London. Really shocking. Sending hugs and thoughts.

    Day 14 Chicago, Illinois USA – NFD

    Day 14 – Cumbria UK – NFD

    Thoughts and prayers for everyone involved in the awful tower block fire 😧 Hope no one from our forum is involved……….

    Weight 54.1kg/119.3lbs – maintaining nicely 💃

    Busy the last couple of days so not posted much – enjoyed a 5mile/8km walk with a good friend yesterday morning and did a yoga class last night and again this morning – 3 days in a row of yoga!!!

    Weather much improved ⛅️after the wet and windy weekend we had 🌧🌬

    @califdreamer – 🤗re your furry friend
    @queenbee20280 – The following link by @simcoeluv is a very good link answering lots of questions folk may have about this WOL
    https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/
    @Strawberriesandcream – That is exactly what I did – tried some shop bought ones – decided I liked the taste and was told that the home made ones have more friendly bacteria in it that shop bought so ordered some grains and have not looked back – Thank you for looking after us all during this challenge – these are for you 💐
    @sirisan – HUGS – you are right that this global family is amazingly supportive
    @chumi – hope the ankle is on the mend
    @happymargo – good to hear that your vacation was so relaxing – you are spot on about this WOL!
    @chen3 @jisika – WELCOME – you can eat what you like for your 500cals but I would advice on your FD sticking to a small portion of protein and lots of vegetables/salad (as you eat a lot of that for your calories) and drinking plenty of water. I prefer to save most of my calories for an evening meal apart from a little skimmed milk in tea during the day but experiment and find what works for you.
    @safarigirl – you have got this – stick with this WOL and you will achieve your goal – the important thing is to see it as a permanent WOL and not a diet
    @steve-toon-taxi-driver – that extra sultana…… 🤣

    To those who are struggling – Be strong and fabulous – Never give up – Everyone has bad days – Pick yourself up and keep going – Firmly press that RESET button and remember that Progress means that you might not be where you want to be. But you’re not where you used to be!

    Does the wisdom of Winnie the Pooh apply to the 5:2 WOL????
    “To know the way,
    we go the way,
    we do the way.
    The way we do,
    the things we do,
    it’s all there in front of you.
    But if you try too hard to see it,
    you’ll only become confused.
    I am me and you are you.
    As you can see;
    but when you do
    the things that you can do,
    you will find the way.
    The way will follow you.”

    Day 14 USA-WA NFD
    Also very saddened by the images of the London fire. Enough trauma for one city, already!

    @coda Enjoy Glacier. It’s such a dramatic and beautiful place. I love it! Last time we were there we ran into a grizzly about 12 miles into a 14 mile loop trail hike …too close for comfort, but a very upclose and personal encounter. Where I live in eastern Wa state, we now have wolves and moose (among other wildlife) loving back into the area. I have family that farm and raise goats and sheep, which is challenging with the wolves. They have sheep dogs and 2 llamas to herd and keep the wolves and coyotes away. It’s the Wild West, alright!

    Day 24, Gozo Malta, nfd

    My prayers for those trapped in London tower block.

    When out with my daughter and granddaughter and had a lovely ice coffee and a piece of carrot cake. Then I had two slices of an enclosed cheese pie for lunch. This evening I’ll have only fruit and yogurt.

    I need to do a fast day soon.

    Onwards and downwards happy Wednesday everyone

    Day 14 Akron OH 3rd b2b day. I think I may have a fourth one in me, usually I’m wilting right about now, but they are getting easier and easier.
    My thoughts and prayers to those affected by the latest tragedy in London. Words are just not enough at times like this, but what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger. We will overcome.

    POCKET LIST day 14:
    @debster251
    @rainbowsmile
    @chumi – b2b?
    @basyjames b2b2b

    Day 14 St. Louis USA NFD
    Yesterday was the second of my back to back and it was a little tougher. It’s not so much that I get hungry but when I am feeling a bit anxious or agitated than I want to put something in my mouth. I have been keeping myself at 500 on Monday and allowing up to 800 on Tuesday. Still not eating bread or carbs. My extras were some fresh watermelon yesterday evening so still stayed under 800. Will plan on my regular 500 fasted tomorrow. Scheduled a lunch meeting Monday with a colleague without realizing Monday is a fast day for me. Thinking I may just skip breakfast and have a salad with her. There’s always away when you take the time to think about it.

    Was dreadful news about the London fire. Thoughts and prayers of comfort. Must be so frightening

    @at Love the Winnie the Pooh quote. Is it windy just the best?

    Welcome to the new comers. This is a marvelous planned and the website is so helpful.

    All my best to all of you.

    Day 13 UK NFD 🌈
    Day 14 UK NFD 🌈

    I’ve been naughty and on a downward spiral that I am stopping now! For the last week ive been going back to my old ways, before I undo all the good I’m confessing and making changes.

    Have and Have Nots

    I have not checked in and read posts (catching up)
    I have eaten too many treats (another all or nothing girl, need to opt for nothing)
    I have got into a habit of eating late (definitely habit not hunger)
    I have not done intended FDs. (Always give into temptation).

    Will and Whys

    I will read posts and check in daily this gives me power and resolve (you are my power group)
    I will make healthy choices this makes me feel good, physically and mentally
    I will do 2 x FDs a week – gives me all the health benefits of 5 2
    I will beat water dragon every day 💦🐉- keeps hunger at bay, skin clear and eyes bright
    I will close kitchen at 8pm, maximise my Fast hours, most when asleep. (16/8, as lunch usually at 12 noon, unless FD, then just one 500 cal meal).

    The funny thing I noticed about myself is if I’m doing it for a reason, i.e. A group, someone else I have strong willpower, why can’t I do this for me?

    Also not doing something (over-eating) seems harder than doing something (exercise).

    Still catching up on posts and every one brings with it squats – legs permanently ache, but in a good way. 👊🏻.

    Day 14 Brisbane Australia FD

    Day 14, Rocky Mountains, US, BSD800 cals

    Hi all,

    What a terrible tragedy! My thoughts are with London! 😢😢😢

    Went a bit over 800 cals yesterday due to stealing some of my DHs movie theater popcorn. I thought when you steal somebody’s food it does not count! Of course it does!!! LOL 😄😄😄

    Today back to seriously staying within 800 cals.

    Have a good Wednesday everyone!😊
    Onwards and downwards!⚘⚘⚘

    Day 14 – UK – NFD

    @lynzm – as a fellow all or nothing girl, come on I know you can jump back on the wagon, we can do this, it makes so much sense.

    Day 14, Germany, NFD

    My thoughts are with everyone affected by the horrible fire in London.

    @annemarilyn working at home is fun, you can see the results afterwards. We went to the charity shop with 3 large bags full of clothes (all mine), we’ll go again next week. I just have too much of everything, I really don’t need so many dresses, shirts or shoes.

    @okeydokey Happy Birthday! Enjoy it!

    Day 14 Oregon USA NFD
    So sorry to hear about the London fire, my heart goes out to all involved.

    FD went well yesterday, I’m starting to think this 5:2 may just work. Today my goal is controlled eating!!

    @safarigirl – Good job on weight loss, you are an inspiration to me!
    @debster251 – Thank you for the tip, I love the BBC and will check it out.
    @jarbia – Thank you for the information on probiotics, I will check out The Truth About Sleep.

    This forum is my lifeline, I get so motivated by ready all the post. Thank you all!!

    Day 14 – UAE – FD (19th day of b29b)

    @strawberriesandcream in Ramadan no food or drinks not allowed during the fasting hours and I do the same when I fast even if it is not Ramadan. The regime is to wake up early in the morning, now it is around 4am, to have something light, and fast for around 15 to 18 hours depending on which part of the world you live in. I break my fast with an apple and some water as I am biabetic, others would break their fast with one or three dates and water or leben that is fermented milk. Then have some soup and tea or coffee. Others eat a lot which defeat to break their fast which will defeat the some benifets of fasting…

    Day 14 Lexington, NC USA NFD
    @snowflake56 Thank-you for the Happy Birthday wishes for today! 😊 We’re having a fun time on the lake with my Dad. Plenty of boating, walking. We are going to jet skii in the next couple days. My nieces wedding in WV was nice and went well.✨ I’ve been able to fit in the 2 FD’s a week. This week it was Monday and Tuesday. So far I haven’t had any bread, potatoes and I’ve tried to keep my carbs either below 25 grams or on days we are celebrating; 50 grams. I won’t weigh until I get back to Pennsylvania.

    Heart Breaking about the tragic fire in London. What a catastrophe.

    So glad our group is here, thanks for all the posts.😊 I will be catching up later.🤗
    Staying focused and Keep on Keeping on!😊
    ✨Wishing everyone well✨

    2nd post

    @okeydokey you’re doing so well. Have fun, take care and don’t hurt yourself while jet skiing. Hugs

    For some reason I’m having trouble getting this to show up today. Trying again.

    Day 14 California USA NFD

    My thoughts and prayers for everyone affected by the London fire. Being anywhere near where it was visible must have been horrifying, especially after the recent killings.

    I was down .2 of a pound this morning after a NFD yesterday and eating normally. I’m getting used to the idea of eating small to normal amounts of foods at dinner and then stopping. I made chicken cacciatore last nite in the Instant Pot along with cabbage for the vegetable and chunks of melon for dessert. I rarely use bottled salad dressings but French Dressing sounded good the other day, so we had that with a huge salad. Even thinning it down with lemon juice it was too sweet.

    @at, love the Winnie the Pooh poem! It certainly does apply well, doesn’t it?

    @lynzm, closing the kitchen at 8:00 PM every night sounds like a good plan. That’s one of my toughest times to not graze, even though I’m not actually hungry. I’ve been making cups of India Spice and other interesting teas to drink and that seems to work for me. Even if I have to wake up to use the bathroom during the night after all those liquids, that to me is preferable to being overweight.

    Positive thoughts to everyone for a good and low calorie day!

    For some reason my posts aren’t showing up this morning.

    Day 14 California USA NFD

    My thoughts and prayers for everyone affected by the London fire. Being anywhere near where it was visible must have been horrifying, especially after the recent killings.

    Day 14 – SW WA USA – FD

    I enjoyed the retirement tea for a colleague yesterday & brought leftover scones to the staff room this morning so the enjoyment wouldn’t follow into today.

    @strawberriesandcream – yes, let’s count our blessings. Life is indeed fragile & precious. This again especially keeping in mind the London fire & also the shootings in Virginia in the USA this morning at a baseball practice.

    @lmrenfrey – you made me laugh with the snoring or lack there of and your hubby. He’ll get used to your not snoring in time. What fun!

    @loubelles – so close to your goal! Good for you!

    @songbirdme – what is the kombucha supposed to do for us? When do you drink it? I’ve tasted some pretty yummy stuff at a health food store in my area but hadn’t bought any yet.
