  • If I were to try this diet
how and or when to get it started
what is the first thing on the first day to do
    thanks Lisa

    Hi Lisa

already replied to your other post lol, well basically you choose 2 days in the week you want to fast, these can be any days you want, then think about what you will eat, up to 500 calories, either throughout the day or you can save all your cals for your evening meal.

So for example if you have your last meal the evening before your fast was at 7 pm then your fast will end the next day after your last meal, does this make sense? please look under the “how?” section top of the page for more advice.

    good luck!!

    Hi Lisa

It is working for me, at least as far as weight loss is concerned. The blood chemistry data awaits a future medical check to verify.

I recommend you read the FAQs, which should answer questions and settle doubts. Decide which your fast days will be – I use Sunday and Thursday for family reasons – and get on with it !

Stick to the regime and it WILL be effective. I am 7 weeks in, 10lbs down (from 194) with 30 to go. Nothing spectacular, but steady progress. It is a marathon, not a sprint, after all.

If you have tried many diets then you are most likely familiar with ‘counting calories’. I count them on fast and non-fast days. That way I know whether or not I am reaching the end of my calorie budget for the day. Check your TDEE and keep non-fast days below that, calorie-wise. It is all too easy to say things like ‘I will just add a dash of milk; that’s about 10 cals’, when, if measured, it comes to 25 ! Same with gravy, sauces, dressings, etc. But you probably know all that.

Most important, though, DO NOT mix up the oft-quoted permission to ‘eat whatever you want’ with the very different interpretation as ‘eat however much you want’. The former means that you can have chocolate or biscuits in your food; the latter means you will NOT lose weight ! Trust me.

Finally, be patient .. and best of luck.
