I’m just starting out and want to lose 3-5 Kg. That’s about 7-11 lbs I think. Can anyone, by way of encouragement, tell me how long it will take if I stick religiously to the approach? Thanks!

Hi Moet and welcome:
The average weight loss on 5:2 is about a pound a week. You will lose a little more at the start, but it is water weight. If you do not view 5:2 as a way of eating, but only as a diet to be abandoned when you reach your goal, the water weight will quickly return, as will the pounds you lost.
