  • Hi, I’ve been looking in here for a while as I started 5:2 January 2013 and have been doing 6:1 since January this year having reached a ‘normal’ BMI for my height. I’ve made a couple of comments lately on the thyroid posts but not introduced myself and so thought I should 🙂
I love this way of controlling my intake and find the easiest thing for me to do for fast days is to always have the same meals: porridge and berries for breakfast and tinned tuna in springwater, in a very plain tomato based sauce with a little red pepper and sweetcorn with say, broccoli for dinner. I used to weigh everything but am confident enough not to have to now apart from weighing the oats and measuring the milk.
On fast days breakfast is about 9am and dinner is between 5 and 6pm and I just have a couple of cups of black tea or coffee until breakfast the day after.
There are many success stories on here and I’m really pleased the lifestyle changes people are making for improved health this way is working for so many. This all sounds a bit serious but it’s really important and I’m very grateful for Michael’s way forward!

I am in the same on fast days and tend to eat the same things, its just easier for me!

and well done on maintening too!! 🙂

    Hi Angie
Thank you 🙂 It’s always interesting to read about the different aspects of losing weight for everyone. It just shows that actually everyone has issues, meaning that we are all ‘normal’ in that respect! I keep as far away as possible from processed food now and dread to think what my poor body had to go through food-wise once upon a time.
Good luck with your own weight loss 🙂
