Hello from a hopeful IF dieter

  • Hello everyone, I started IF (5:2) 6 weeks ago and I have lost 6lbs. I do tend to overeat on normal days. Since being on this diet though, I have found I don’t have
    such strong cravings for biscuits, chocolate and all those yummy things. So I am improving slowly. I am 72 so should know better. I just wish this diet had been around 20 years ago. Anyways, my thanks to Dr Michael Mosley.

    Hi Shaile & welcome to the 5:2 lifestyle, it’s great innit! I’m only half your age but having been at least 4 stone overweight since puberty I too wish 5:2 had been around 20 years ago 😀

    Hello TracyJ, thanks for the welcome. It is great! I am having a fast day today but went slightly over to approx 550 calories instead of the 500. Naughty me! I have read some of the comments on the forums and they have been
    inspiring. I have a few queries but I will go on the appropiate forum.

    Hi Shaile, 50 calories over is no biggie, especially when you’re still just starting out, don’t worry about it.

    Haha – good try. Difficult to explain in words but just ditch the ‘a’ the ‘a’ and use the special characters and you’re there.
