  • I have a hard time doing any exercise I have a lot of joint pain By the time I get home from work I can hardly walk because my feet are so painful.
I hope that if I can lose some weight it will help with the pain I have in my feet .
So just wanting to know will I lose weight if I don’t do exercise ? Thanks Debbie

Hello Debbie Hanlon, weight loss is mostly related to what you (don’t) eat so, yes, it’s possible to shed your weight without an exercise regime tho’, as you know, activities/exercise have their own benefits.

Some people like to start swimming or other exercise from the outset, not for the weight loss benefits (which would vary with duration and intensity), so that they can start working on the overall body composition, improve muscle tone/definition etc.

    Hi Debbie and welcome:

Yes, you can lose weight if you don’t exercise. In fact, you might lose it faster than if you did exercise. http://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/ #5.

I feel the best time to start exercising is after you have lost weight and confirmed to yourself that the diet works.

    Good Luck!
