  • Hi everybody!
I’m terribly excited and hopeful that this diet helps where so many others have failed. I’ve been reasonably slender my whole life until my diagnosis of advanced Thyroid Cancer at 32 years old. I’ve struggled ever since with weight… yo-yo’ing 10-20 pounds each way even with regimented diet and strict exercise.
I started 5:2 this morning with some scrambled eggs and a cuppa. Copious cups of herbal tea kept me going. For supper, I had a large bowl of some Asian Ginger Broth I whipped up over the weekend. Then a small bowl of Quinoa and baked chicken. Fingers crossed! I’m looking forward to all the encouragement and support from my fellow 5:2’ers 🙂

    Cheers to us all!

Very well done on your first day, rtkam!! Believe me, the weight will definitely come off slowly but surely 🙂 It’s a big lifestyle change but 5:2 works. I have a hypothyroid condition but I’ve been steadily losing for a year and now just do 6:1. There are lots of success stories on the site and I hope you’ll soon be giving us yours. Good luck!!
