  • Hi I have been on fast diet for two weeks and just starting fast exercise HIT.
I thought to collect data on various things, weight, blood pressure etc!

My query is to get my blood glucose info i fasted from 9:30pm till 11:47am then drank 380ml of lucozade sport. In one hour my reading was 6.2 (111.6), an hour later it was 2.7 (48.6).

Should i be worried? Or was this reading due to not eating anything during the next two hours and fasting longer thas was needed prior!

    Please help slightly confused!

You don’t say what your reading was after fasting (i.e. before you drank the Lucozade) but the 6.2 looks about right while the 2.7 seems too low.
The Fast Exercise book says this may be ‘reactive hypoglycemia’ so you may want to Google that for more info.
For the record, my stats before starting HIT were 4.6 (after fasting), 6.4 (after 1 hour) and 5.6 (after 2 hours).
