  • Day17 – UK _ NFD.

    Once again the world has gone mad. Thoughts with everyone in Barcelona.

    Had a controlled day today just over 1000 calories. Tomorrow’s aim to to do a FD of around 800 cals- pocket winos – allows me enough calories for a gin and tonic. Just the one. Hoping the scale will show a further reduction on Saturday morning.

    Good luck all.

    Day 17 Maine USA NFD On a weekend trip to the ocean in Maine- very peaceful and beautiful. My 2nd FD
    of the week will be Sunday. Meanwhile I’ll have 3 relatively controlled days, choosing what is most yummy but not all in one day! Lobster roll tonight.

    Day 18 – Tokyo, Japan – FD

    @16 hours – glucose 95mg/dl, ketones ~0.0 mg/dl, 82.4kg
    @30 hours – glucose 90mg/dl, ketones ~0.5 mg/dl, 80.2kg <— Some fat
    @41 hours – glucose 91mg/dl, ketones ~1.5 mg/dl, 79.8kg
    @48 hours – glucose 85mg/dl, ketones ~4.0 mg/dl, 79.0kg <— burning fat
    @64 hours – glucose 74mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl, 78.8kg
    @71 hours – glucose 68mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl, 78.5kg
    @74 hours – glucose 66mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl
    @87 hours – glucose 62mg/dl, ketones ~8.0 mg/dl, 77.2kg

    Estimated calories burned: 9558, yesterday went over 3100 because of 5k run

    I’ll most likely make 100 hours and then play it by gut feelings. I’m concerned about how low my blood glucose still is, but probably my body is still shifting into ketosis. I feel better this morning. Not really hungry but I could eat for certain.

    I haven’t read the new yet. Must be truly horrible based on the comments. I hope everyone is okay though.

    Day 17 UK NFD

    Day 18 AUS NFD

    This is a long term change, not a quick fix. There are no tricks to losing weight.

    Good luck everybody.

    Day 18 Brisbane Australia NFD

    @16 hours – glucose 95mg/dl, ketones ~0.0 mg/dl, 82.4kg
    @30 hours – glucose 90mg/dl, ketones ~0.5 mg/dl, 80.2kg <— Some fat
    @41 hours – glucose 91mg/dl, ketones ~1.5 mg/dl, 79.8kg
    @48 hours – glucose 85mg/dl, ketones ~4.0 mg/dl, 79.0kg <— burning fat
    @64 hours – glucose 74mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl, 78.8kg
    @71 hours – glucose 68mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl, 78.5kg
    @74 hours – glucose 66mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl
    @87 hours – glucods 62mg/dl, ketones ~8.0 mg/dl, 77.2kg
    @90 hours – glucods 67mg/dl, ketones ~8.0 mg/dl, 76.5kg (after workout)

    My workout was only about 2/3rds of normal. I didn’t feel right so I stopped. However I’m feeling fine now. My blood glucose finally went up a bit so it seems to have stabilized. I’m now taking this fast hour by hour.

    @losing_it – you are correct this WOL is a long-term fix. While I’m pushing it right now, this is a rare event and I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t already have around 100 fasts under my belt.

    Day 17 Vancouver Island
    FD
    Cheers!

    @dykask sorry if it seemed like my comment was aimed at you, I totally respect what you’re doing and am very interested! It was just something I’ve been thinking about for me, as I’m such an impatient person, and even though I’m experiencing consistent results, it never feels like it’s good enough, which is a bit of a struggle. I need to make sure my mindset is focused on ALL the benefits I’m experiencing and make sure my time frame is a year, not a month or two…😊

    Day 17 NFD St. Louis USA
    busy week back at work. Catching up on posts.

    All my best to all of you.

    @losing_it – I thought your comment was very general, not aimed a me. It is a valid and good point! 🙂 I just wanted to enforce your point of view!

    What I’m doing right now is extreme and not something I would do very often. I really like 5:2 for the general flow, health and ease of following. However I also have a deep respect for the power of fasting on its own.

    The 5:2 WOE is slower but in general I think a healthy and manageable approach. I’ve been doing it for 11 months now. Pretty amazing that I’m still happy with it!

    PS. I love walnuts! You link is very tempting! 🙂

    Update:
    @16 hours – glucose 95mg/dl, ketones ~0.0 mg/dl, 82.4kg
    @30 hours – glucose 90mg/dl, ketones ~0.5 mg/dl, 80.2kg <— Some fat
    @41 hours – glucose 91mg/dl, ketones ~1.5 mg/dl, 79.8kg
    @48 hours – glucose 85mg/dl, ketones ~4.0 mg/dl, 79.0kg <— burning fat
    @64 hours – glucose 74mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl, 78.8kg
    @71 hours – glucose 68mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl, 78.5kg
    @74 hours – glucose 66mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl
    @87 hours – glucose 62mg/dl, ketones ~8.0 mg/dl, 77.2kg
    @90 hours – glucose 67mg/dl, ketones ~8.0 mg/dl, 76.5kg (after workout)
    @95 hours – glucose 70mg/dl, ketones >10 mg/dl, 76.9kg

    Blood glucose is low but stable, I’m not feeling negative impact from that. I do feel some hunger, probably about the same I typically felt when I was constantly using portion control. I can live with it. My throat is getting better. Right now I’ll go at least until the morning and then decide.

    I think I may have been low on sodium. Starting to feel better but I may take some of the low calorie salty plum. 10g of it is 26.7 calories and 0.5g of sodium.

    I’ve been looking at ketogenic dishes and I’m not very impressed as it seems so restrictive. I could handle a cheese omelet but one has to be careful even what vegetables are consumed. Most the dishes are based around too much meat and fat for my tastes. I think when I break my fast I’m going to eat a bunch of watermelon. So I might extend my fast a little if I want to stay in ketosis. Nothing wrong with eating low carbs, but I just prefer a lot of the fruits and vegetables that are a little higher in carbs.

    I put a small piece of salty plum in my mouth and it tasted like heaven. ~1 calorie per piece so I’m just letting it slowly dissolve. I’ll see in a few hours if it damages the ketosis. However my hunger feelings just died away. Maybe it is the sodium.

    Day 18 – Ireland – NFD

    I found the B2B FD to be tough going in the end, and I had to make a hot milk and nutmeg drink at bedtime to stop me gnawing off my arm 😄. I am down just a half pound today but am a bit constipated (sorry for TMI) so hope to “release some hostages” soon 😱 To move things along.

    BUT, I look at my progress since 23rd July when I started and I am down 10.5 pounds, 4 inches lost from my waist and a half inch from my neck.

    Pocket winos – no alcohol until tomorrow which I have designated my drinking day 🍷

    Terrible news from Spain this morning – I am going on holiday to that coastal village of Cambrils in two weeks. Crazy world out there but we must continue on.

    Onwards and downwards.

    Day 18 UK NFD.

    Wow @coda I’m impressed, realistically I can’t fast weekends, but I’m aiming to have 3 solid “controlled ” NFDs, off to Pilates & an abs class now when I get back going to calculate today’s food/drink on MFP and stick to it !

    Day 18, UK, FD

    Figured I’d sneak an additional FD day in this week – my first ever 4:3 – I think it’ll help with those few pesky birthday pounds 😉

    Looks like I’m on my own thus far!!!

    🙂

    Day 18 – Woking, UK – NFD
    244.5lbs
    So I was expecting to be up this morning after a lovely meal out with my Dad last night. I’m actually quite happy and surprised it’s only 0.2lbs. Time to have a good controlled day today and try to be good at my nephew’s birthday BBQ tomorrow.
    Thanks @coda, @lynned, @debster251 – I am definitely firmly in the tortoise club – just wish it didn’t sometimes feel like I’ve started hibernation early for the winter! What I need to remember is that actually this is week 13 of this WOL for me and so far I’ve lost 13.3lbs. That means 88 weeks to go to hit target, so I’m already 1/8th of the way to where I ultimately want to be.
    I just get a bit disheartened sometimes by the size of the task in front of me and how long it will take to achieve. I have no idea how many of you started this WOE at 250lbs+ with over 100lbs to lose, sometimes I look at the posts and the spreadsheet and it feels very lonely as most people seem to be in the 130-150lb range.
    Still, as someone posted (sorry I don’t remember who) we each have our own journey. I’m still further along the path to where I want to be than I was 13 weeks ago.

    Day 18 Belfast NFD
    Sad times in Spain. Thoughts and prayers for those involved.

    Had a great FD Yesterday – I had half a dozen pecan nuts and 4 grapes at lunch time and a very small portion of family meal in the evening – not calorie counted but I’m confident it is low cal(and no wine!)
    Daffodil2010 wow! You’re on fire! Fabulous result! Apart from fasting, what else have you been doing to get those numbers?

    Have a great day everone.
    JUST DO IT!

    Dafodil2010 you made me laugh out loud reading about ‘releasing some hostages”! Just what I needed after a long day at work, not feeling well with a cold but managed controlled eating which is good.

    @liathanail – your must have posted at the same time as me. Stay strong and don’t lose heart. This family is here for you, for support and inspiration whenever you need it. I’ve posted a link to ButtonBoots which might give you a bit of a boost. You’ve made a great start, and although there is a long road ahead of you, you are firmly on your way. Take care. Xo

    https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/buttonboots-my-weightloss-journey/

    I’m feeling better but I wouldn’t say day four was easy.

    @lathanail – it may seem like I’m losing a lot of weight on my most extended fast ever, but a lot of it will come back as soon as I stop fasting. I was actually at lower weights a few months ago and then the weight bounced back all the way to 84kg. However even at the higher weight I was still able to the cloths I got into at 75kg. There are lots of factors in weight and it is sometimes hard to see the progress.

    Talk about Tortoise club – It has taken me almost 5 years to get from 106kg to 76kg and even now I won’t be able to hold that weight! Sign me up … It has been so slow that I can actually only chart my progress by my annual physicals. Actually I started over 5 years ago, nearly 10 but at first it was just about controlling high blood pressure. I did a lot of things wrong for my body and I’m not a quick learner with my diet. However year by year I’ve managed to make progress. However I’ve had a lot of help on the way. Lately a lot of people here have been helping.

    Day 18 Newcastle UK 🇬🇧 NFD.
    Good fast day yesterday.
    More sadness in the world again and it’s achieved absolutely nothing idiots you have

    Day 18 North Wales NFD

    I agree work you @steve toon. Just sickening.
    Day 18 Akron OH. I am 0.3 pounds away from August goal. NFD for me.
    Onward and downward my friends. My prayers with everyone affected by the madness in Barcelona.
    wherever you are today, spread a little kindness to those around you.

    Day 18, South Wales, sneaking in another FD before visitors arrive for weekend…

    @liathanail – over 13lb in 13 weeks is seriously good progress!
    @dytask – very interesting seeing the results of your extended fast.

    Good luck over the weekend all!

    Day 18 – UK – NFD

    Hello all you lovely, friendly, people, I’m back and I know you won’t mind 🤗

    I joined this forum at the beginning of May weighing 78.5 kg, I successfully abandoned 8kgs before I headed off early July, travelling and then having visitors lately, it has been a crazy busy summer, but somehow (after a couple of fast days this week), I have managed to weigh in this morning at 70.5kg. I am so relieved and delighted. I have been looking forward to coming back and catching up with everyone. It is wonderful seeing a lot of familiar and new people on the forum.

    I’m now looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and achieving my next goal. I will aim for 69kg for the end of August. It will be so good to get under 70kgs and also to be 10stone something again.

    @coda – thank you for hosting July and starting these monthly challenges last May. Sorry I did not get back to check in at the end of the month, life just got too busy…

    @debster251 – thank you for hosting August, I hope you don’t mind me jumping back on the wagon.

    Happy Friday everyone

    Day 18, Wales, NFD

    I’m doing the blood sugar diet on 5:2 so I’ve decided on a tortoise trail, I’m prepared for slow loss if it means I can stick with it to goal and then maintain. In the past I’ve lost weight quickly on different diets but not been able to cope with the diet long term……the difference with this WOE is that I am really enjoying food – wish I hadn’t done low fat diets for so many years as I don’t think it’s good for taste or skin!

    Pocket Winos – I’m sticking with 4:3 red wine indulging……that is drinking wine no more than 3 nights per week. So this tortoise will be ambling off the wagon glass in hand this evening. Cheers.

    Have a happy Friday all x

    Day 18, India, FD
    This is my second day of the B2BFD.

    Day 18, Belfast, NFD

    Awful news from Spain. Very sad.
    Have a good one everyone.

    2nd post
    Also, yesterday’s FD became a NFD for no apparent reason. Bit annoyed, but today is another day (even though we’ve got cider ‘tasting’ at a neighbour’s house tonight lol).

    Day 18……Florida……FD

    Prayers out to the families in Spain as well as the world! May one day we all live in peace despite our differences!

    I had a pretty controlled NFD yesterday but went to sleep with a hell of tummy region cramps. So, odd never had that happen, I’ve come to the conclusion that something I ate and my center region do not mix. Must make note and pay attention!

    @dykask…..100 hours your almost there…… be safe. I hope you achieved everything you set out too!

    @liathanail…… it took me 10 months to lose 29 lbs, that is less than one lb a week. It’s easy to become disheartened when our mind and body are not on the same page. Maybe instead of concentrating on scale victories, you should focus on your non scale victories. After all, in my book they are far more important that what that scale says. After all, it’s just a number. It does define you.
    Here are my non scale victories that I keep me going.
    I had to buy new underwear! My old ones although still wear just would not stay on my smaller butt!
    I took 5 garbage bags and one box to the good will because they were too big!
    I finally can fit into my shorts, I haven’t worn in five years!
    I have thigh gap!
    I only drink 2 cans of soda a day rather than 8
    There’s more but I won’t bore you! Keep fighting! Stay strong! You doing fantastic!

    Well, I’ve decide I’m a tortoise too….. The thing with being a tortoise is you know that what we are doing is going to stick. Everything I’ve read says losing weight to fast isn’t good for you but also it’s substainable.

    I was addicted to the hokey pokey then I turned myself around!

    Day 18– Colorado USA– NFD

    It’s a NFD, but still skipping breakfast & pushing lunch off till much later for something special.

    Volunteered to work today on my day off. Too many nurses were granted vacation at same time. Whoops! They only needed me for 6 hours, instead of the usual 12, so I happily agreed to help out.

    That’ll make it easy to stay busy & miss breakfast + lunch. Then I’m meeting my OH for a fun afternoon of bowling & happy hour snacks. The venue is brand new, clean (no smoking!) & done up beautifully in a mountain lodge decor. A gaming place for families with bowling, fusball, ping pong, darts, billiards, etc and live music.

    So that’s what I’m saving my calories for!! Happy hour on our Date Night. We’re going to try nachos with chicken, guacamole & salsa. And they serve the most amazing roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon bits & balsamic reduction!! YUM!!

    Right now though, its treadmill time before shower & work.
    Everyone stay strong! We’ll make progress together!

    Today I’ll ask myself, “WILL THIS GET ME CLOSER TO MY GOAL?”

    2nd post…

    Today’s pocket list is quite bespoke with just 3 of us to call out so far:
    @msraven
    @rahul1905
    @bert1802

    Rocking the Friday Fast 🙂

    @16 hours – glucose 95mg/dl, ketones ~0.0 mg/dl, 82.4kg
    @30 hours – glucose 90mg/dl, ketones ~0.5 mg/dl, 80.2kg <— Some fat
    @41 hours – glucose 91mg/dl, ketones ~1.5 mg/dl, 79.8kg
    @48 hours – glucose 85mg/dl, ketones ~4.0 mg/dl, 79.0kg <— burning fat
    @64 hours – glucose 74mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl, 78.8kg
    @71 hours – glucose 68mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl, 78.5kg
    @74 hours – glucose 66mg/dl, ketones ~6.0 mg/dl
    @87 hours – glucose 62mg/dl, ketones ~8.0 mg/dl, 77.2kg
    @90 hours – glucose 67mg/dl, ketones ~8.0 mg/dl, 76.5kg (after workout)
    @95 hours – glucose 70mg/dl, ketones >10 mg/dl, 76.9kg
    @101 hours- glucose 70mg/dl, keyones >10 mg/dl, 76.6kg BMI 25.3

    So I made it 100 hours and two small salty plum strips didn’t knock me out of ketosis.
    My belly fat has a couple new skin fold lines and I can also easily ware 32″ pants that were kind of tight when I bought them. Two small victories. I’m feeling fine, slight hunger but much better than before.

    I’m thinking of going until Monday a 4pm so the fast would be a full 7 days. However at this point I might change my mind at any point since over 4 days is a pretty good fast for me. I’m thinking I’ll have some watermelon at 4 pm and the a cheese and onion omelet a couple hours later. Then just normal in the morning. I decided I don’t care about staying in ketosis now that I know I can get myself into it.

    Wow it has been a long five year journey getting my BMI from 35 to 25. My lowest weight was 75.6kg so I’m just 1kg above that.

    Day 18, UK, NFD
    Not had any food yet today, but think it will be a NFD. Now on my hols, so fasting not top of my list. May just try normal 5:2 for the next 3 weeks.

    Hello day 18 Co Down NI FD

    Today’s pocket list
    @msraven
    @rahul1905
    @bert1802
    @coda

    @brightonbelle – I decided again on the Brain/emotion bit that @penz put on, that as I now associate Friday (though I use to fast previously on a Friday) as the start of the weekend and time for something ‘nice’ – maybe a glass of wine which leads to other ‘nice’ things. I would break the bad habit I have got into and do a fast. So far I have had water, 1 coffee with a splash of milk and a small glass of kefir with a spoonful of blended berries. My plan is to have a green juice when I get home, so while sticking to liquids it’s not a zero calorie day either. Tomorrow will be a non fast day and treats planned will be 7 licquorice allsorts (who would have thought 7 would be 160 cals!) at my Dads and he always gets me a treat for after lunch (M&S eccles cake or a pecan pastry, wow that many!) so it will also be planned and counted, will also plan a glass of wine perhaps with dinner – planning a low calorie dish maybe fish and salad? So anything else will have to be confessed so must keep my promise in mind.

    @Lathanail – why not break your ultimate goal into small interim goals maybe 3-5 lbs at a time then when you have achieved 3 of these smaller goals give yourself a treat (non food) a new lipstick, a new perfume, a massage, a bubble bath, a book or something else that you would enjoy. Make a treat jar – write some rewards you would like and put them in a jar, that way it will be a surprise when you pick one. Make a chart and reward yourself with gold stars and a smiley face when you achieve 3. You can look forward and focus on these and your treats while still making progress to your big goal. Sometimes you need to look back at how far you have come and not look at the mountain to climb in front. I think I remember telling Ciren2 about my climb up a mountain – literally – when the going got tough I had to stop and look back at the progress we had made – that enabled me to keep going to the top a step at a time. You can do it.

    @liathanail*

    @yolina – welcome back 🙂

    Day 18, London, UK, NFD

    My thoughts are with those affected by the senseless crap in Spain.

    Completed my B2B2B yesterday and broke my fast this lunchtime at 1pm………. with a mocha and M&S chocochino muffin…………. well I never said I was a saint!!!!!!!

    Feeling the bloat now, so another lesson (re-)learnt, I’m normally pretty good at healthy meal planning, but the muffin was SHOUTING my name!!! honestly!!

    Planning to reign in the dragon, before he goes postal, 2L of water should do the job.

    I hope everyone is staying strong and planning for that bump in the road we call “The Weekend”, keep the faith people!!!!

    Day 18 USA WA FD
    A prayer for compassion and kindness to envelop the hurt, anger and hate in our world-what a week we have had.

    Yesterday’s fast went so well, I’m going to go for another before the weekend.

    @annemarilyn I know exactly what you mean about the keto commitment. That’s been my hesitation (that and the version/way they want me to do it involves flying to Baltimore and being supervised by a doc out there!). I do feel like the combo of low carb/high fat and intermittent fasting has worked well for me, even if I’m not all the way in in terms of the ketogenic part. I can tell even the way I do it is helpful.

    Hope all the fasters and non-fasters have a Good Friday!

    Day 18, US, NFD

    I was going to label today “BD” as in binge day. Oh fellow pocket winos, I’ve been good all week and on yesterday’s fast day I was fantasing about our traditional red wine and pizza Friday night. I knew also we have a work lunch today, so I figured I wouldn’t even bother with a TDEE, but would all-out spoil myself.

    But then I read Debster’s and Coda’s inspirational posts. Thank you for helping to keep me on track. AND I had a shocking night’s sleep, so I suspect in reality, today I will enjoy the work lunch in moderation, and have a very early night after only one martini.

    Bert – you made me laugh. Thank you. I can’t wait until I have the problem of my underwear slipping off my teeny tush! I don’t think I’ve ever had thigh gap and I can’t wait until I can see my hip bones again. One day at a time, and I am moving in the right direction.

    Have a good – and safe – weekend, everyone.

    Day 18 Chicago, Illinois USA – FD

    Day 18 – USA – FD

    Day 18, Rocky Mountains, US, FD

    Day 18 – USA (Utah visiting DD) – NFD

    Maintenance going well. Had a very leisurely day yesterday mostly reading at DD’s pool. I’ve started a new book set in Ireland, Dublin exactly. It’s by Tana French (name caught my eye on the used bookshelf) “In The Woods” from 2007. She is American born but lived most of her life in Ireland. I have many of you to thank for interpretation of various UK words and phrases! But, I am still learning.

    @bert1802 – I went the new underwear route a while back and even donated a dozen perfectly good pairs to Goodwill also. The old bras were pretty stretched out, though, so they went into the trash. Congratulations on your non-scale victories!

    @happymargo – great to see you back again! Nurses are so wonderfully dedicated… you included.

    @daffodil2010 – we have had the constipation discussion in previous months. Release those hostages! Ha ha! Someone quite a while back said the “apple a day” worked, and it sure has for me. Even on FD’s I eat my daily apple. Someone else recommended dried prunes, but they do have more sugar, so be careful. Six prunes are about 100 calories and my apple is nearly that. Hope you’re able to enjoy your holiday to Cambrils. Yes, we must go on with life and enjoy all we can.

    Onward and downward!

    Day 18. FD Canada

    I’d love to join the challenge if it’s not too late.

    I’ve picked up an extra 3kg thanks to age and a few bad habits and it has all landed on my belly. Not much I can do about the age, but the habits need to be checked.

    I love running, biking, skiing and cooking. Reasonably fit and not a lover of junk food makes it not too hard to stay in a healthy weight range. Well that was until I got hooked on dark chocolate and almonds, eating a block a day became normal. Add in lots of random snacking and my middle is bulging.

    Time to reset!

    A light eating day yesterday and a FD today.

    Day 18, Gozo, Malta, fd

    So sad for the Rumblas tragedy yesterday in Barcelona. Such a lovely city. Prayers for those affected and deceased.

    Yesterday evening I went out unexpectedly for dinner with my sister in law who is going back to New York next week. I choose grilled squid but had a small canapé and a tiny roll of bread with it plus potatoes and a tiny glass of ice coffee so yesterday was a controlled day not a fast day as planned.

    This morning my daughter and I went out for a coffee but I just had sparkling water. Today my daughter started me on antibiotics as I developed a cough and flu got worse.

    Today I’m fasting on about 700 calories.

    Have a great day everyone, onwards and downwards.

    Day 18-19-20, Emden Germany, NFD

    My thoughts are with the ones affected by the attacks in Spain, it’s just terrible and doesn’t make any sense.

    Day 18–ABQ, NM–NFD

    My heart is grieving for Barcelona, Charlottesville, and all the other places touched by pointless violence this year.

    Day 18 USA. NFD =). Congrats!@dykask.Have a good Friday everybody!!

    Day 18 – SW WA USA – NFD

    Making it a NFD after 2 FDs. Making better choices. Looking forward to my adult son’s visit this weekend. We’ve got some activities planned so will be fairly active. Will plan to make yummy but healthy choices along the way.

    @krisnia – I hear you too. I wish you wisdom especially with the seizure piece. That would probably give extra motivation to do a strict keto. I have a friend who mentioned on FB that she’s following a ketogenic diet, so we’ll be talking further.

    @liathanail – I like your great positive perspective in your post today. My weight at its highest was at 245. I had lost 56 lbs on another program a few years ago, but had gained all but 10 back when I found this WOL. So I went from 235 down to 197 from Sept 2016 to March I think. I’ve been bouncing around in the low 200s for several months. Haven’t seen 197 even for about 4 1/2 months. The people and the sharing of the journey with others keeps me hanging in. I’ve gone from packing out size 18 to doing quite well in Size 14 – American. Still along way to go weight-wise. I’m determined not to let the pounds get away from me again but to continue a downward trend. I’m glad you’re here on the journey with us.

    BTW, I have friends living in Barcelona. They are fortunately fine, but so sad to have this senseless violence. I agree, as someone else posted, let’s look for ways to be kind & loving to those around us.
