I just discovered this site after 7 weeks on the 5:2 diet. Lost 8Kg so far, very pleased with results. Short term goal another 5Kg which will take me out of the ‘overweight’ region of the BMI graph. Longer term goal a further 9Kg beyond that, which will put me in the centre of the ‘healthy weight’ region of the graph. But if I achieve that I’ll weigh 11 stone, which is what I weighed in my 20’s, and I’m now 59.
Las week I lost 0.5Kg, this week so far it looks like I’ve lost nothing. Previous weeks I lost at least 1Kg every week, sometimes considerably more. Don’t know if I’m overdoing it on non-fast days, because I’ve certainly kept below 600Kcal on every fast day.
Do others find that weight loss slows down after an initial period?
