I have just started the 5:2 diet this week for the first time. My willpower seems to always fail on other diets as they can be so strict so I’m hoping I can stick to this better!
I fasted on Monday, managing ok although did have spells of feeling really hungry but helped this by having a drink of water. For the past 4 weeks I have been making sure I drink at least 4 pints of water a day as I never used 2 drink any :-/ this has already made me feel loads better, not bloated anymore and my skin looks healthier.
I was planning on fasting again tomorrow but woke up this morning with sore throat, head and generally feeling crap! So after having some cereal for breakfast I decided my appetite was very poor so thought I would just fast today instead, and have been amazed at how well I have managed 🙂 it’s made me realise that hunger really is in my head sometimes. I have not eaten anything since breakfast so only had 173 calories today! And feel surprisingly good! I am of course looking forward to eating tomorrow but I am happy about how this diet is making me think about what I’m eating more.
Hopefully this diet will be one I can stick to! Lol
