Hi All
Dave from Sydney Australia, started on 5:2 two weeks ago kind of by accident!
Went to the dentist for a checkup after 10 years (as you do) and happened to see someone come in in AGONY with dry socket after a tooth extraction. I was then told by the dentist I had to have a tooth pulled so I was absolutely NOT doing anything that could create a dry socket.
Just before the extraction I saw the 5:2 doco and decided that there was no reason not to fast for a couple days after the extraction just give the site the best chance of healing so did a uice fast for those 2 consecutive days and also quit smoking for 3 days and the recovery time has been remarkable. Within 4 days I hardly new it had happened.
Any I digress. So this is week 2 for me. Fasted yesterday and am fasting today but of course including 500 or so calories.
The main question I have is how people have found 2 consecutive days versus 2 separate days of fasting?
So far I have just done consecutive days because by the morning of day 2 the hunger is gone and I kind of feel like any cellular repair can only get better with 2 days in a repair.
Interested to hear from people who have tried both and which they preferred?
