  • Hi. I’ve just joined up & would like some breakfast ideas for fasting days & what is the easiest way to count calories? Also, what is the difference between the Fast Diet Recipe Book & the Fast Diet Cookery Book?

Hi sunshine55, I’m a newbie too but find myfitnesspal is a reliable source of calorie counts, but it may depend where you are as some packaged foods are different in different countries.
I have the recipe book and can highly recommend it but I have not read the cookery book.

I find porridge made with water and strawberries fills me up, I have it as breakfast-lunch as late as I can. 150 cals for the porridge 36 for the strawberries.

Hi Blue1. Thanks for your reply. Does the recipe book have a calories count with the recipes? Is myfitnespal an app?

Hi Elc72. That sounds great. I had a boiled egg this morning & hopefully that’ll keep me going for a while:)

The fast diet recipe book does have calorie counts for surprisingly satisfying recipes for fast days, my family eat them other days too. Check out myfitnesspal.com

    Into a large ramekin
    1/2 tomato diced
    1 tablespoon diced green onion
    dash of seasoned garlic salt
Stir let sit about 5 min so you get the juices flowing from the tomato

Spray a nonstick pan with some spray heat it to medium low

crack and egg into the ramekin on top of the tomatoes. place the fry pan over the ramekin and invert. Leave the ramekin on let it cook for 2-3 minutes. You’re poaching the egg in the juicy tomato.

Turn off the heat invert and eat. 96 Calories takes less than 10 minutes to make

You can also do this in the microwave you have to puncture the yolk, but I think it’s better on the stove.

Thank you QuietOne that sounds yummy – will give it a try at the weekend:)

Thanks Blue1 – I’ve downloaded that app & it looks great:)
