One year till I'm fifty :)

  • Hi, I’m going to start next Tuesday, one day after my 49th birthday. I’m determined not to be fat and fifty next year so have decided to spend the next year making sure this works! Just planning which days to fast on, and what I’m going to eat on them. I have been overweight for ever, and am sick of it, utterly sick of it. So here goes!

    Well done taking the first step, I’ve been doing this for 8 weeks and am now 10lb down another 10lb to go or thereabouts don’t get hung up on the scales I only weigh every couple of weeks . It’s a definite lifestyle change takes a few weeks to re-train your body but when you do its a absolute revalation , I used to snack and constantly think about my next meal now I’m completely different I control what I eat when I eat instead of food controlling me. Sorry going on ! I fast Monday and Tuesday suits my working week and gets it done I have my 500 calories in the evening ,drink herbal tea or decaf coffee all day and lots of water in the evening have mushroom omelette or homemade soup or massive salad . The rest of the week I eat a healthy diet including a weekend takeaway Indian my favourite and a few glasses of wine. It’s a way of life now I love fasting and after the first few weeks you will begin to feel fantastic after fasting . Good luck and stick with it , read all the FAQS on this site really helpful .
