  • I am starting my first fast today, 6th January. We live in Spain and yesterday was the 3 Kings parade, we had long planned to get a takeaway after watching it. It was our one and only takeaway since moving to Spain in June 2012. So we had kebab and chips! naughty I know.
I am really looking forward to today. Pool weather is just around the corner and I have to lose at least a stone (14lbs)
    The plan is ……….
Black coffee and a low fat yogurt for breakfast
    Homemade vegetable soup for dinner
Then Chicken and vegetables for tea.
While drinking lots and lots of lemon water.
We have almonds and clementines for snacks if needed.
    I can do this!

Hi there – or better hola!

Half of my family is Spanish and I will be flying from Vancouver, Canada to Madrid this Friday. I LOVE Spain and the food there and the life style and…and…much more.

I am sure you can do this! Just be aware almonds have a fair amount of calories!

One good way to track your food intake is to download the free app “Myfitnesspal” which allows you to log your food intake.

    Check out this site:

Great community and tons of great tips.

    Best of luck
    Stef.

Thanks Stef, I am already using my fitness pal, it doesn’t approve of fast days does it? haha. I actually enjoyed my first fast, but I didn’t sleep well and have woken with a bit of a headache. I had the full 8 glasses of water. I know you shouldn’t but I have weighed myself, 4lbs down! Wow!
I looked up the calorie content of an olive, 3 calories, can that be right?
