  • I have chosen to do a 24 hour fast meaning that I eat dinner at 5pm Monday and then don’t eat anything until 5pm Tuesday.

My question is, can I have milk in my coffee in that 24 fast period? I have actually chosen not to eat at all in that 24hr period; I’m pretty good at it but I don’t just need that one coffee with milk to get me through. I have one black coffee and one with Milk and that’s all for 24 hours.

Is this ok considering I’m actually not eating anything at all?

    Hi Mandaliciouss:

What you are doing is not 5:2, so the milk is not important. What is important is how much you are eating before and after the 5 pms. You have to eat less that your TDEE each day, so count your calories each day to make sure you have a chance to lose weight. Count your milk calories on the
day(s) you drink them. If you are interested in 5:2, this may help: http://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

    Good Luck!
