  • Hi everyone,
I started out on this journey just over two weeks ago. I didn’t fast last week because of a bad cold, but am back at this week! My question is: does it get easier to fast? I’m finding it quite difficult. Especially at 3 – 4 o’clock – any tips?
    Thanks!

Hi heartincali, For me is has gotten easier each week. Am only in my third week but have found the fast days consistently easier each week. I fast separate days, from after dinner day before, to breakfast day after. Also, last two fast days I have found it much easier to just have coffee through the day then use all my 500 cals having dinner with the family. It’s obvious, but the trick is to keep busy and keep away from food as much as possible. I also prepare dinner early when not as tempted to nibble. I can relate to the 4pm hunger/lethargy but it passes very quickly if doing something else nice, like some time in the garden or a phone call to a friend. It’s worth it though as I have lost 3kg in first 3 weeks! Lots of people comment that the less they eat the less hungry they feel and that’s true for me. Maybe you could try a few different ways, but hang in there and Good Luck!

Now into week 5 and really noticing the difference – amazing results and really so easy. I’m finding not eating for a day easier than trying to remember what I can and can’t eat!!
To answer your questions it does become easier to fast – the less you eat the less you want to eat.
    Good Luck

Thanks for the replies! Yesterday was MUCH better than before. Still the worst at 4pm, but I held out until dinner 🙂 I’m not sure that I could go all day until dinner without anything to eat, too many hunger pangs… but I’m quite proud that I managed to make it through 😀

Good Work! And hopefully next fast will be even easier!
