Hi all, I’m a 63 yr old retired Grandma from Australia. Today is my first day, & also my first ‘fast’ day for the week. I have read so many entries from the Forum. They are such a help & have given me such a positive feel about the 5:2 diet. Unfortunately I have a ruptured tendon in my ankle, so movement is out for the next 6 weeks, that is why I am so eager to start as I don’t want to become any bigger just sitting. I also have an under active Thyroid. Another reason to start. I used to have high Cholesterol, but I became Vegan 19 months ago, & now my Cholesterol is normal. My weight is my biggest fear as I get older. I’d love to know any Vegans out there with any hints for me.
