  • Hiya, I have just started my first fast day. I’m quite excited at the thought of what might happen tomorrow. I’m planning an omelette with onions and peppers for 1 meal and a tuna steak and veg for the second one. I’ve struggled today to get my 2,200 calories in today which has surprised me. I don’t know if it is advantageous to have less on a normal day. Anyone have any ideas please?
    So here goes…………………………………………………

    Hi Haar and welcome:

The basic rule is the less you eat the more you lose. You may find that your 2200 number is inaccurate and your real TDEE is less than that. So trying to eat to the number may be counterproductive. There is nothing wrong with eating less than your TDEE on non diet days or less than 500/600 calories on your diet days.

Here are some tips that might help: http://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

    Good Luck!

Thank you so much simcoeluv. The information and link are very very helpful.
