Second week of fasting!

    I am starting my second week 🙂 I found the first week surprisingly easy and it’s already shifting my attitudes to food in general.

    I’ve also discoverd Miso soup. My stomach just loves that stuff (but only if it is organic with no MSG – check labels for E621 and other E600 numbers) I found one that is like a pot noodle which is about 200 calories and is great for tea with some raw veggies.

    I would also highly recommend adding raw ginger to any herbal teas as I’m sure that’s what killed all hunger pangs for hours.

    So day 3 today – just had a fairly revolting cup of green tea for breakfast, a handful of nuts and a bit of banana….see how long that lasts me 🙂

    Hi – I am starting my second week too! Week one was pretty good and I dropped a little in weight so I am hoping that week 2 is a continuation. I am fasting on Monday and Thursday this week and I think that will be my pattern. I have eaten 2 strawberries thus far. Miso soup sounds like a great idea. Something tasty!

    And you Alison 🙂 I love this regime, I was sooooo hungry on Monday that I stopped fasting and decided to try again on Tuesday, which went really well. So i’ll fast tomorrow and then eat my body weight over the weekend again.

    I did that last weekend and still lost half a kilo – just imagine if i’d been good!

    How are you going? I felt like without my green smoothie at about 11am I was just too hungry to make it through the day, and once I started cheating that was it. you definitely need to be very organised and not having to try and find things to eat on the fast day I think.

    Hello KDaggie and Allison. Nice to read your thread and find others in week 2 although I think I’m a week behind you as week 2 is now. I live in Melbourne Australia
    Thanks KDaggie for your miso soup tnfo re the MSG. The stuff I bought has it on the label so I’ve chucked it straight in the bin.
    On fast day today, do Mon and Thurs and feeling quite motivated about it. Just had a brunch have decided it’s easier to skip breaky and have a good walk instead. I don’t have a lot to lose but already lost 2 kg in the week so expect I won’t lose much this week but already happy I’ve reduced the muffin top

    I am starting my second fast week also. I do Monday and Thursday. I had my dinner 3 hours ago. I spread my 500 calories for breakfast and dinner tomorrow. Then normal breakfast on Tuesday. I think that is what is the 36 hr fast. I am enjoying it. Will weigh in Tuesday mornings each week to see my progress. Hope this works as a lifestyle change for me. I am so tired of dieting. I live in San Diego, Ca

    Hi everybody, lovely to hear from all the other newbies. Hope you are all doing well. I am on my third week now and again Monday is proving to be a challenge, but I’m going to eat as little as possible and then try again tomorrow to be really strict. Then I can fast Thursday aswell 🙂

    Not sure how much weight I’m losing but I feel healthier and making better choices all the time with food, not so much with exercise…

    It’s so comforting to read that you are also finding things a bit tough going at times.
    I have to admit that this is feeling like a diet to me but maybe I’m obsessing it too much.
    When I first read about it I thought I could just eat whatever on my eat days but am finding out now about TDEE and portion sizes so I am thinking a lot about food all the time and how much I shouldn’t put in my mouth.
    Not sure but I think I’m supposed to be eating around 1200 cals, feels way to restrictive for me.
    Maybe I’ll try just getting on with it, back on my beloved wine and fast and see what happens
    Does anyone feel like this is a diet.
    Fast tomoz and then bring on the weekend. Will be over indulging quite a bit I feel as I have house guests
