I’ve just completed by first week on 5:2 and weighed myself today,down 2 pounds, tho I know it’s more likely water. Still, good to see numbers reducing!
I’m 5’0 and have a small frame, and started at 8 stone 13. My goal is 7 st 7 pounds. I’ll be in a lower but still healthy BMI.
My history of diets go back to when I was 12 and gained weight due to a pituitary disorder. Cue my teenage years obsessing about diets and calories and obsessive exercising. Madness! My whole adult life was spent on diets, until maybe 10 years ago when I just decided to be fat. I was around 10 stone then. I never thought I’d be calorie counting again in my life! But knowing it’s just two days a week, makes it easy.
My sis in law is also on the 5:2 and her success was what made me want to try it. I’ve gained some weight since last summer.
