Hello dear fellow 5:2-ers!
Hope you are all doing well. How nice to see that there is such an active forum to share experiences and give support.
I have started this diet yesterday, had my first fast day. I am partially in it for the weight loss, I have already lost 25 kilo’s by just eating healthy and exercise. I am mostly in it for the health benefits. I have a tendency to have a high blood pressure and this is something that runs in the family. Aside from a healthy diet I do believe that this is going to contribute.
I love food, but I don’t want it to get the best of me. Fasting is also a way for me to understand my body and become less ‘addicted’ to the idea of a constant flow of sugar and fat, never feeling any hunger or true appetite.
I am not going to eat a lot on my 5 other days, I am a firm believer of moderation. I do not count calories but I eat healthy, because it makes me feel better and energetic. I have learned to give food the importance that it deserves in the past two years.
