I’m new to the forum and delighted to know that many others worldwide are sharing experience and information about 5:2.
A combination of stress, ill-heath and family issues contributed to my retirement a year ago.
At first I struggled without the structure that work gave me and was heading in the wrong direction as regards health and weight. I’d seem part of the Horizon programme and bought, but not read, the book.
Last October I read the book and decided to go with the diet. At the same time my GP referred me to a gym – not something I’d ever considered but I have since joined.
I have lost 21kg in total – and hope to be at target by Christmas. I have no specific weight target but aim for my waist to be less than half my height – another 3.5 inches.
I am comfortable with the diet – I usually fast on Tuesday and Thursday but welcome the flexibility it gives.
I want to say thank you – this is more than a diet it is life-changing as far as I’m concerned.
