  • So I have seen the documentary on BBC of this matter which interested me a lot. But Im still a bit confused

I have looked up the numbers :

    Your BMI is: 21.8
    Your BMR is: 1744
    Your TDEE is: 3008 calories

I am very active each day i do a workout of 1h+ generally this is riding my bike . Should i take this in account or just go to 600cal for 2 days anyhow.

I am not looking to lose any weight , Im just interested in general good health. How ever I am unsure if I will profit from this fasting since i m already very active and in good shape…

    Thanks in advance

    Hi!

Although I’m still needing to lose weight right now, I hope to continue fasting one day a week when I teach my target weight. If you’re interested in the health benefits of fasting, then give it a go, lots of people fast once a week, or once every other week and maintain their weight just fine, but still notice the other benefits of fasting.

Fasting needs the low calories/ high calorie contrast for the health benefits (the body kicking into repair/regenerate more) to take effect, so I would say, keep the suggested 600 for fast days and just eat more on your non fast days to balance it out, if you don’t fancy reducing your exercise every now and then.

    X
