I’m Gemma and new here so thought I’d say hi!
Me and my husband went on the fast diet early last year, about 3 months before our wedding, mainly for weight loss. I wanted to loose (in my dreams!) 2 stone and i managed to loose 13lbs. My husband lost about 1.5st.
After wedding we let the diet gradually slip and before i knew it xmas had past and it was the new year and i had put back on 7lbs!
So I’ve bought Michael’s book and we’re now back on (my husband more so reluctantly!). I have found the book so interesting but scary at the same time – i question most things i go to eat!!
This time round I’m finding it (suspiciously!) EASY! I have had no problem / hardly any hunger / good will power on fast days having just breakfast and dinner, whereas normally i used to get quite shaky / light headed if i ate lunch late.
I’m 5’8 and currently 12.7st. I’d love to get to 11.7st but i am quite ‘big boned’, lol, so not sure how realistic that is. My husband is 6’1 and around 17.7, again he is also stocky but I’m more worried about his health than weight/appearance. Usually I’m the one with zero will power so hopefully with my new found enthusiasm this time round i can get him on board more!
Finally on a random query – other than eggs for breakfast what other interesting meals can you all recommend? Although eggs for breakfast have kept me going all day it causes me awful indigestion/heartburn all day! It is definitely eggs as it happened yesterday and i had only eaten a plain omlette 🙁 suggestions would be most welcome!
