Help for Newbie !

  • Hi everyone,
    thought I would join the forum and introduce myself and also get some advice!!!

    I started 5:2 about 10 days ago and although going OK I’m a bit stuck in what to eat on my days off and wondered what other people did.

    Do you try and eat smaller meals on your days off and healthy snacks or just try and get by through the day having the odd nibble?

    Any help much appreciated as I’m lacking a bit of inspiration !

    congrats on your 10 days fast already, well done!! 🙂 re your query about the days off, basically if you know your TDEE, that’s the amount of cals you should consume on normal days,just eat up to that and the rest is pretty much up to you! the golden rule is, eat WHAT you like but not AS MUCH as you like lol!! so don’t feel deprived and eat normally…

    there is a tool under the how? section on this page(top) which will calculate your TDEE…

    So do you eat a breakfast lunch and dinner on your 2 days, only smaller versions?

    I’m quite busy with work and kids so don’t have much time to think about what to eat LOL !

    hi Rita!

    on my fast days I would usually skip breakfast to save some calories 😉 and have a lunch at around 150/200 cals and keep the rest for dinner, hope this helps!
    I do quick stuff, maybe a greek yogurt for lunch, then dinner might be a healthy ready meal,lots are under 300 cals these days.. M&S ones are yummy lol
