  • Hi, I am Patricia from Indiana , art teacher , horse lady, lifetime weight struggler. I lost 35 lbs and kept it off for over two years then have gained over 10now this very tough winter. I’m a stress eater, and decided to retire as well so between the hard winter, some minor surgeries, and thinking about retirement I have lost my good eating habits—-after 4pm each day! Fine pretty much till then, but I am not feeling very good about this, I want to try something else-so here I am:)

    Welcome to this forum!! I am new here…would love to support you and also get some encouragement in return. In my first week I lost 5lbs…mostly water…but it felt good. I too am a stress eater…and go binge after 4pm. I feel this way of eating is liberating and doable. Good luck!!

    Hi guys I’m new to it all as well. I’m due to weigh in tomorrow after 2 fast days on my first week. I might attempt 3 days in my second week as I went out for a meal on Saturday and am due out again this Saturday. Although as long as I make 2 days I’ll be happy.
    I’m in for the long haul wanting to lose 5kg by June. I hope all goes well for you both and look forward to hearing how you’re doing!

    Hi Kirsty! Thank you! I too will try 3 days this week as I socialize on weekends with family. And my family shows affection with food 🙂 good luck to you too! I need to lose around 20 kilos…so yes…i am going to be active and post my daily progress here for a while!

    Well welcome to you two as well, I have a lot of reading to do, just signed up this am, and have started my first day fasting. I am saving my calories for after 4 mostly since that’s where I am problematic. I am looking forward to reading!

    Dear all…hope you don’t mind me using thia thread to post my daily progress. It just makes it more fun when you have a small group cheering you along or for me to cheer on. I did my first week last week and lost 5 lbs. After my weekend, i am up 2.2lbs…it has to do with the weekend non fast days. I am fasting today and will eat a good 500cal meal at 4pm…that should last me until I go to bed.i am excited!

    Hi, am now on a life style change….and challenge. Feeling it in my joints now and at 55 think I better start doing something about it! Have done Conley/weightwatchers but failed to keep it up.

    Hello Everyone, I am also new to the fast diet. I started 7 days ago and weighed in today 800grams (almost 2lbs) lighter. I am very happy with this as I stuck religiously to the fast day advice but I did not hold back at all over the weekend.
    I have tried weight watchers etc in the past but cannot stick to it.
    Today is another fast day – hence I am sat at the computer trying not to think about food!
    I had homemade curried carrot soup for lunch (check out the blog lavender and lovage for the recipe).
