  • Hi ..I want to try this diet as my last resource… I tried so many diets without success because I love to eat. I’m diabetic and I have to lose weight, feel very unhappy with my body… I used to weight 120′ and now I’m 170′. It sounds easy, so I eat normally one week and 2 days out of the next week I reduce my calorie intake to a half, right? Can anybody tell me if your glucose levels have improved with this diet?

I think you may be mixing this up with something else entirely.

With this you eat normally 5 days in a week, and eat 500 calories (assuming you’re a woman) on the other 2 days of the week. The 2 fasting days don’t need to be one after another. Make sure you drink enough water or herb tea on fast days so that you don’t get dehydrated. The first week or 2 can be a challenge – but it’s not awful and it’s only 1 day at a time. Plus the fasting gets easier as you go along.

Eating normally means eating what you should normally. Any type of food is OK on non-fast days, but that doesn’t mean eat as much as you like.

Read these 2 pages on the website:

Are you a Type 1 or a Type 2 diabetic … it helps us understand where you’re at.

    Hi laurale,
Probably be a good idea to read the book, it helped me understand the diet. At least read all the information posted by Michael and Mimi.

    Hi…

Thank you for the clarification… I will buy the book. I’m type 2… my diabetes is not that bad.. and that one of the reasons I have to loose weight… I hope this diet works. Is this diet working for you?

    Thanks.
