2nd week in .. hows everyone doing??

    Hows everyone doing so far in the 5:2?? .. into my 2nd week and doing pretty well .. thanks to all the support I’ve been getting!! .. I don’t think I could’ve done so well with out it!!. I’m on my fast day at the moment .. had my(BIG) breakfast @ 7am this morning and attempting to not eat till 7pm 2moro evening .. Long fast I know but just trying to test myself .. see how it goes!!.

    Hope all you guys are doing real well too and if yr on a Fast day .. keep it up ..if yr a newbie like me … Test yr self … for me .. I felt a huge sense of achievement after a fast!! .. it really felt good .. so keep motivated guys!! .. GD luck!!

    Umm .. 7 weeks in, 10 lbs down (to 184). Progressing fine and not missed out a fast day or gone off the rails (much).

    Really happy with the regime. But it’s gonna be a long haul to shed 40 lbs …

    Meal coming up to break my 24hr fast within the hour. Yay !

    Starting 3rd week but changed my fast day to today instead of Tuesday and struggling now as calories gone. Half term for us this week and know there will be meals out and theatre/cinema trips, next fast day Thursday.Plus points are tried on lots of clothes banished to back of wardrobe as too tight are now wearable! (Is that a real word)? So am pushing forward and will be drinking plenty of water watching my fav programmes this evening.

    Well my first week I only had one fast day. I postponed my second fast day to a Friday (I intend to do Mon&Thurs) because I was out with friends last Thursday for a meal and drinking. I had a bit much too drink on Thursday and a bad hangover Friday. I started off ok but really wanted to eat something so I packed in the fast because there was no way on a Friday I was going to have lunch only and no dinner! I ate pretty rubbish over the weekend too. It’s early days for me and I do have a powerful sweet tooth! But one bad day doesn’t mean it isn’t doable. I’m trying to be patient with myself to see change and feel change. This is my second week and my second fast day. So far, so good. I suspected it would work better for me if I just don’t eat during the day and then have an evening meal after exercise. I haven’t eaten yet today which means I’m looking forward to a nice evening meal of roasted veg and tofu. So last week was 6:1 this week 5:2. I don’t find the fasting easy, my stomach is starting to complain but I just can’t allow myself to think about being hungry or food. Reading other people’s posts about success and how much easier it becomes gives me a lot of motivation.

    Hey! I’m on my week 2 and last week I lost 1.5lbs so yay! but I still have 42.5lbs to lose! Slow and steady is my motto for this!

    2nd fast of third week today, not had the best non fast days this week, meal out with family Tuesday and unusually a chippie tea on weds as i had an evening out with friends and drank a few glasses of the red stuff! So was very surprised to see 2lb less on the scales this morning. Hopefully this doesn’t go back up tomorrow. Week 4 next week looking forward to a months total weight loss.

    I quit in the 4th week. My exercise performance totally tanked (endurance down by half, the weights I could lift came off, really poor post exercise recovery) and I didn’t manage to adjust in this time.

    I think the fast diet and frequent intense exercise (where you weight train to failure or hit your max heart rate multiple times during an hour of cardio 3 or 4 times a week) aren’t good bedfellows.

    I’m going to follow my PT’s diet plan (5 small meals a day with a slight 300 calorie daily deficit), with which I feel both energised and maintain good exercise performance. It takes a hell of a lot of time and effort to implement however! I feel as if I’m always eating!

    I may do the fast diet during a rest week, or if feeling well rested maybe one day every 10-14 days.

    Good luck with whatever works for you @wyson9. Shame 5:2 wasn’t for you but, as we say here – you do whatever suits your life style best.
