I’m new and thought i’d introduce myself. I’m a 34 year old Norwegian woman- I’ve been 5:2ing for two months now and often read your posts to keep me motivated on fast days. (Thanks all) The first 2-3weeks was easy and now it keeps getting harder every fast day. Not very hungry, but uncomfortable and short fused..but I expect it will get easy again any day now:)
I’m not very overweight but in the danger zone for diabetes and this sounded like a good idea to prevent it.
Also I have a dreadful nicotine habit, I’ve read somewhere it keeps your bloodsuger higher than normal. Does anybody know if it makes the fasting pointless..?(yes, I will quit – but first I want to loose another 5kgs so I can comfort eat a little when I do..:) )
