Start easy

  • Looking to start this next week; however, I am on holiday with the kids.

    I feel I could do one day during the week relatively straightforward, however 2 could be a push. From the 2nd week I will be going for it.

    Anyone else started slower and does or work?

    you have to do what feels right for you and it means one fast a week to start with then go for it!
    I have always done 2 fasts so I cant really offer more help, maybe someone else will be along soon 🙂

    Welcome to the forum! As Angie says, you need to find what is right for you.

    The problem with one day a week is that you very likely will not see a huge progress which can be demoralizing. From that point of view I would try to get a second day in if you can.

    On the other hand, you have to tweak it your own liking as this is a long term committment and a way of life.

    Your first fast next week will give you an idea of what its like to fast, and I found it gets easier as have a lot of other fasters.
    TBH with children around all day I would find it hard not to nibble with them!
    Plan your weeks and how you are going to manage your fast(s) and go for it – nothing to lose but weight and so much to gain.

    Thanks for the advice and apologise for not replying sooner.
    I opted not to start last week whilst on holiday as we were so busy! I am now doing my first day today and going ok so far. Dreading getting to tomorrow evening!

    My wife started hers yesterday and is doing well but feels very hungry!
