Week 1 down, learned a lot!

  • Finished first week. Fasting days were a breeze, and I stayed just under 500 calories each day. The biggest problem I had was company arriving in between my fasting days. I cooked more and ate more than I should have. I was very surprised that the day after my second fasting day I felt full about halfway into my lunchtime and dinner meals. So… Company is gone, and I will have a less hectic week. I definitely feel better after fasting. I think in the long run this program is going to be successful. I am not even going to weigh in until May 1st. I don’t want to become obsessed with numbers. Feeling good and having energy are my first two goals. Love the forums! Have a good week everyone.

    i am starting today, though i am not new to fasting, i really need to get back on the wagon!! well done on your start, i though i would come back to the forums for support, dreading it a little but glad of this place for moral support!

    Hi! I’m still in my first week ( Tuesday is my chosen weigh in) Great job making it through your first week. The hardest for me was relearning what a portion is on nfd. I’m scared to think of what I was consuming before 5:2 so I am so I am measuring my portions.
    I did measures my waist yesterday and I have already lost 2 inches , that was encouraging even if the scale doesn’t move this week! (I checked it twice just to make sure it wasn’t wishful thinking! Lol)
