starting tomorrow, buddies needed :)

  • Hi, I’m a 46 year old mum of 4 (oldest 25, youngest 8) and Nana of 2 and am going to start this tomorrow because my husband is away for 5 days and I can just eat what I want without questioning (yaaaay!!! I’ve been veggie for a year, don’t take milk and have butter now and again. My downfall is cooking for everyone else – fussy husband and fussy son and veggie self so planning is tricky, plus I am prone to fatigue (long term after effect of brain injury from 5 years ago)… I fasted for 40 days 2 years ago (just had one meal in the evening) and lost about 18 lbs but since my 22 year old daughter moved back in in October, 10lbs of all that weight lost has come back on. So, taking charge again. Fasting works best for me as if I’m counting points/cals etc., then I can’t think about anything but food! I might start having some fish again once in a while. Appreciating buddies in advance :)!

    Hi JuniPerphine! I just started last week and lost 3pounds. Very excited. I’m 45, newly married and my husband is extremely fit. He only eats once per day and everyone always tells him it’s not healthy but apparently it can be!
    I weighed 148 at the start and it’s the heaviest I’ve been. Hormones and all of that I think are playing tricks on me but I’m determined. I just have coffee in the morning and since I teach school, I just don’t eat anything at all until I get home at 2:45. I’m not really that hungry but will have something small. Then at dinner I’ll eat with my husband but again, not that hungry! I’d be happy to keep in touch! And good luck to you and to all who are trying to eat healthier!
