  • How is everyone doing after 3 weeks?
Maybe some have lost the enthusiasm, some have been disappointed because they have not lost as much as they expected.
To give you guys and girls some encouragement, my wife and I started on the 19th January, so now completed 3 Monday fast days and 3 Thursday Fast days.

I haven’t got the patience to count calories (after the initial burst of enthusiasm) But we really stick to a couple of small meals on fast days and no extras like honey in my tea Chocolate cakes etc, which still keeps us below the recommended calorie intake.
On non fast days, I’m afraid I don’t count calories and eat cake, chocolate etc, but in smaller amounts.

Having said that, I have still lost around 7 pounds, which is great.
My wife has lost a bit more and a little off her waist, but she is more disciplined than me.

So, If I can do it, anyone can do it, and now we will not be changing back to the old ways and will stick to 5.2 twice a week

I think if we drank more water we would get better results, but there is no time frame, and losing one or two pounds a week is great.

So for everyone who started on 19th January, keep up the good work, you know it makes sense!!!!!

Congratulations Kiwiflyer79 to you and your wife on your great losses to date. Today is my 3rd week weigh in and like you I have been really enjoying the program and more importantly finding it quite easy to fit into my every day life. The results for me so far have been nothing short of amazing. On weighing and measuring myself this morning I have lost 9.5lbs and 10.5 inches in the three weeks I have been on the plan. I am delighted and flabbergasted and full of enthusiasm to continue. Like you I have found drinking more really helps and everyone I have met has been commenting on how amazing my skin looks and how well I look so something must be going right.

I would just like to add my voice to yours to everyone who started on the 19th January… keep motivated, stay positive, be patient, keep up the good work and the success will come. Have a great week x

    Well done BB65.
You have done a lot better than me!!
I wish I had lost a few inches off my waistline, but will have to try drinking more water.
After 3 weeks and now starting the fourth week today, it is becoming a habit already to just accept that Mondays and Thursdays are low cal days, so no honey in tea, no milk in tea, and keep to the low cal foods.

So I hope that other members who started on the 19th of January will read your comments and be encouraged to stay with it.
Even some may have given up or not had any results so far, so please give it a go and stay with it because it seems to be working for so many members and it can work for you too.
Regarding your friends commenting on your improved looks and better skin tone.
I sell e cigarette kits and have a lady that was able to stop smoking for a month and her skin and appearance also has improved so much, so with the 5:2 fasting and no smoking it must be a real healthy change.

    Good luck everyone.

me and my husband started the 5 2 5th jan so far i have lost 16 pounds and hubby lost 19 pounds in just 5 weeks. I do zumba class twice weekly and treadmill, but hubby not done any exercise at all. we are both delighted so far with the results. find the fasting days hard at times, but stir fried beansprouts with chicken and prawns is filling and delicious . we have still enjoyed a drink at weekends as well.

    Great results Cleverless.!!!

The Stir fry and chicken sounds good, I will give that a try today.

I don’t know about Zumba classes.

I think I will follow your husband’s idea, if I can get the same results after 5 weeks, I will be well pleased.

THANK YOU KIWIFLYER79 YES THE STIR FRYS ARE GREAT , FEEL LIKE HAVING A BIG MEAL WHEN YOU BULK IT OUT WITH PRAWNS CHICKEN OR FISH, WE HAVENT HAD ANY TAKEAWAYS AT ALL AND DONT FEEL LIKE WE MISSING OUT, MONDAYS AND WED ARE MY FASTING DAYS MONDAYS ALWAYS THE HARDEST TO GET THROUGH BUT ITS WORTH IT WHEN SCALES GO IN RIGHT DIRECTION.
ZUMBA IS FABULOUS ITS JUST DANCING AND YOU BURN LOTS OF CALORIES ,I DO CLASSES ON NON FASTING DAYS AS FEEL MORE ENERGETIC THEN. I STILL HAVE A STONE TO GO BEFORE BMI IS IDEAL BUT HUBBY ONLY GOT FEW MORE POUNDS AND THEN HE BE DOING 6 1 DIET I THINK
