  • Hi everyone. Just joined the site. I’ve been doing the 5-2 for a month. I think my psoriasis is getting better. Has anyone else had improved skin from intermittent fasting?

    Hi Ginjaninja!

That’s great to hear you’re experiencing a pleasant side effect of 5:2!

I don’t suffer with psoriasis, but I do have dry skin. I also suffer with poor skin/ breakouts on my face.
Since starting 5:2 at the beginning of January, I have noticed a marked improvement in my skin!

I used to go to bed itching and scratching all over my back, legs and stomach. My skin now feels much softer, smoother and healthier, and I can’t actually remember the last time I scratched myself to sleep!

My face has also cleared up considerably. I might even go so far as to say it is glowing!
The dry skin around my mouth and forehead has improved, and breakouts are now minimal.

I strongly believe that an increase in fluid intake on fasting days (and non-fasting days too!), plus an overall rethink of the foods I eat, has benefited my skin.

Yep, lots of people report improved skin (myself included). Search for keywords to find specific threads but psoriasis, eczema & acne/general spottiness have all been noticed.

    Hi there,

I do suffer from dry skin. I am just coming towards my second week, have not seen any improvement or changes yet on the skin front, but will surely find out sooner or later.

Not finding this 2:5 regime too difficult. So great that so many people are ‘going for it’.

    🙂
