  • This diet says consume the normal amount of calories for 5 days (men = 2400) and a quarter of that on fast days (men = 600). I rarely consume 2400 calories per day.
My question (probably stupid) is do I need to consume 2400 calories on non-fast days for this diet to work? Eat more to lose weight, surely not! Thanks.

    Hi tipper and welcome:

You do not eat 2400 calories on your non diet days – you eat your TDEE, or less. There is a TDEE calculator at the top of this page under ‘How It Works’.

    Good Luck!

Thanks for that simcoeluv. Turns out my TDEE is close to 2400!
