  • I am 61 years old and I have a desk job and when I get home from work I don’t feel like cooking, so my husband does the cooking. I just have to win him over to the way that he has to cook, or not cook. I have 5 grown children and 8 beautiful grandchildren and one on the way. We are blessed. But, I want to be around for them and I need to keep up with their activities. The latest grandbabies are 3 and the one that is on the way. The 3 year old can give you a workout.
There are some days when I don’t feel like eating and I wonder if that is the right way to approach this diet. I just don’t know what to eat when I feel this way. I have gotten a membership to a gym, but I haven’t gone to sign up yet. I need to do that.

Wow sounds like a lovely family. I think you can manage this diet with your way of life as the job etc is similar tto mine. So you just eat breakfast with or without hubby for 5 days and the other 2 days you either skip breakfast or hav a very light breakfast. Lunch you are in contol of as you are probably at work so have protein and salad or whatever you prefer without too much bread for 5 days and skip 2 lunches. Eat a normal dinner with hubby 5 days and then hav smaller portions on your 2 fast days. You are fortunate to hav him cook for you so I would concentrate more on portion size than the food. My advice is to enjoy your family and unless you really want to join…skip the gym at this stage and focus on getting your fasting right. With weight loss you will naturally want to be more active so is there something you can share with hubby …like gardening or fishing….or just go for a walk…dont take on too much at once and good luck!
